Isn't die Life supposedly Living Dead?

Don't think so. She confirmed the song was an early recording and I think she might hinted at not finishing it at all? But I don't know. It was during Froot where most of the info came.

Living Dead was one of the early songs that were probably part of the album, yeah.

omg die life leaks...never thought we'd see the day...

does anyone have the Die Life cover someone made on marinaboards? it used this picture and it was SOOO good:

    tumblr_mpvvdx8UEx1qf4gzoo1_640.jpg

    Omg this photo...

I have no clue of how she used to have such strong... aesthetic... like every picture was A SERVE and I don't even know if she had a team behind it or it was just herself like the iconic macbook selfies but... just iconic.

  3. Hold Me could go straight into L+F and it would be a classic 2012 bop. These are... interesting as hell. Mostly for the way they just drift from Electra Heart, so probably very early sessions (?).

Ok just arrived at "I'm the silver screen, I'm the beauty queen" in Hold Me... maybe not so early sessions.

Thanks 4 whoever asked few pages ago about EH Unreleaseds, now we have them lol.

  4. Song is pretty good. I think there's some clunky parts but overall it's a step up. It sounds so interesting, many details.

Her Colored Vinyl says "Side B to be Announced" so there must be a song coming... soon.

    March 12th tho

It confuses me a little, but I think she has actually three scrapped debut albums: Cry Baby (2010-11, with One, Obsession, As If!...), Wild at Heart (2012, with Cecil Diamonds, Red Lips, Lost In My Bedroom, Swamp Girl, Pretty Dull, etc.), I'm Not Alright (2012, an updated version of Wild at Heart with songs like I'm Not Alright, Boys, 24 Hours, On Top, etc.) and then she shifted to Night Time, My Time (briefly titled I Will).

So Cecil Diamonds would've been for her second scrapped debut album, Wild at Heart.

I Believe "I Will" was also supposed to be an EP for some quick-moment and then it was changed to Night Time My Time full record.

Wild at Heart was going to be... THAT girl, isn't it? The electropop but rock-ish influences. Probably "Ghost" but with more uptempo material. I also think 24 Hours was back from Wild At Heart since it was confirmed together with Swamp Girl, or then both were "I'm Not Alright".

Ugh... I wish we had the title tracks, Pretty Dull... well, everything.

  6. I guess it IS the Blessed Madonna remix all along. :creep:

It reminds me a lot of If It's Worth It and also like... Solitaire?

And stop this fuckery of leaking stem edits. Leak the stems so people can actually mix it properly since everything sounds like shit.

  7. The way it wouldn't be out of place in 2020.... her mind. Finish and release it, Sky!! Get that hit.

It's really good. Sounds a bit like some type of early demo because of the lyrics and awkward cuts on vocals, but still... she's precious.

umm yeah all songs start out that way...? her froot demo sounded like literal dog shit and look what it turned into

Yeah, nothing wrong with it, it's just because it also does sound like her early garage band demos, there's some "specific sound" on it lol.

What were the Purge the Poison lyrics she teased???

It sounds like... a Garage Band demo. And probably is.

"Britney shaved her head and all we did was call her craze"

There are things that are just mean to be buried and... well, forgotten, because people don't feel comfortable. Lessons were learned and passed on.

Anyway whatever, Emotional Machine stems.... she sounds good. At least even at "low" she's still just killing it vocally.

  10. I think the ~insider said it's Friday 20th.

Friday 13th would be cute tho.

While we were talking about her... political songs... I forgot to mention but Can't Pin Me Down is actually good too. Probably because it's not "Let's make peace and not war!!! Racism is bad and it exists!!". It's very "I'm not not a feminist" but sounds totally done right with the irony and so on. That's the good part of having a subject.

I hope she already scrapped that Purge the Poison song.

  11. Savages does have some "though" around it like, it is basic but it's well built in metaphor and so on.

To Be Human is... throwing a lot of things at a wall and trying to stick. It doesn't have any "depth" because there's no main subject. Like... yes the song is mean to be general but... it's just TOO general.

And then there's stuff like "There were riots in America just when things were getting better" and it feels like... Getting better for who exactly?

For sure her heart is packed with good intentions but it just feels a bit... shallow and trying hard to be something.

To Be Human middle8 tho... she made some points.

She’s performed it live at a couple shows!!

As if Haunted wasn’t all the proof we need that self titled is Beyoncé’s best..

The bass just blowing the phone's microphone.

She's too powerful ugh. And when it goes into Tears... History. That's History

First time I saw "Caroline performed No Angel!!" I thought it was a Charli cover nnn then I learned about this.

And you're correct about selt titled.

No fillers on pang only spiritual journeys you must be willing to go on :willcut:

Me when I finally "got it" with I Give Up and Hey Big Eyes

Caroline Shut Up & Insomnia on the other hand...

Just read the last pages and thrilled to know there's actually outtakes out there. Driver Go Faster in HQ please?? omg.

And this is a bop. The high notes... I can't.

  14. Polachek is really so fantastic. Started listening to the Chairlift stuff as well and I love it so much, ugh. She's pure talent.

I think I can see what was mentioned about Pang maybe missing some "punchier" songs. I feel that stuff like Insonmia is a bit "too-filler" and not really bad, but just... exists.

But then you have... Go As A Dream, Hit Me Where It Hurts, I Give Up (which took me a really long time to click but FUCK), the Title Track.... She's that girl.

DL should've been the first album track, Pray for Rain or Descending could've been an amazing lead

The fact she just put it out as a lead single to "Make a music video!!" and... it's been over a year.

I guess we can pretend it *is* the first album track and hope there's a lead!11

  16. Fresh Laundry

    Regulars

    Learning In Public.

Still not over how Fresh Laundry took some time but when it really clicked it was like...a revelation.

Cape God felt like such a twist and even if it's not my favorite, it's just so well done and it feels great to see that she could pull something so different and so well. Ignoring her past as a Piano-Pop act.

  17. Legends is alright. I'd say it's not really "too special" but it does sound well done.

I love she really leaned even more into the 80s\90s sound and...amusing how most of the leaks (Guardian, Pray For Rain, This) are just 393894894% more commercial than anything on Nigh Time My Time and yet she's still fighting to make it happen like.... crazy.

And she really picked Downhill Lullaby as a lead jus to fuck it up lol.

Wow, I started listening to her back in March and I've been praying since for Untouchable final version to leak, and Hollywood Slime, Cobra, Ditch That Bitch, Overplayed and Cecil Diamonds as well, idk how frustrated must feel some people since waiting one of those songs to leak since 2011.

And, from where is known the existence of "Swamp Girl"? I've seen she confirmed that was gonna be on Wild At Heart in early 2012 but there's no much info I was able to find about this song.

"Swamp Girl" was teased on a Tumblr post, the same post she announced "24 hours" I believe. Before.. Lost In my Bedroom was released.

Remember when she promised NTMT vinyl pressing with a bonus track... tha was a moment.

tbh the craziest thing about this is the SHITLOAD of re-releases\Repressing that has been happening with the "Vinyl-Revival" and yet she couldn't put it out. Of course it might be complicated to put on a "Bonus Track" since they would need to re-do the plates and stuff (unless it was like, a separated '7 or something), but they didn't even bother with the standard album???

And it's just stupid because it would sell in a minute. Now, more than ever, people are just crazy over physicals again. People like Carly managed to put a "Five Years Anniversary" for Emotion, Harry Styles is literally doing a "1 year anniversary".

NTMT will be 10 in... 3 years. It's time.

  19. I was ready to hate it but the footage on the passenger seat, including audio from the radio leaking, was just fantastic. It does convey a nice emotion + perfectly fit with the song, like it was shot just for the video itself.

Yeah, her miming scenes was the worst part but nothing too groundbreaking.

I kinda gave up on waiting for her to SERVE visuals because... she just can't hit the spot. Born To Die was the perfect era for this and I'm happy I was there to stan when stuff like National Anthem and Summertime Sadness came out lol. And even then we had "Carmen" so it feels... traditional.

  20. Thinking about how whoever produced "TNWWY" really decided to emulate Pharrell and his "stutter beat" at the begin and... why?

But yeah, basic bop that actually bopz.

Happy Birthday Marina! Still looking forward your next steps x
