Lana covers Vogue Italia's November Issue
BoardingSchool replied to fishtails's topic in New Interviews
"I might turn it into something more ‘Southern gothic,’ like it was meant to be from the start, and less country.” WE WON! Bayou Witch album incoming Lovely interview, although calling Jeremy a "nature guide" is some seriously euphemistic phrasing- 127 replies

I don't think it's "meadow," I think it's a place name... down in Laredo (?) and something New York (??), or something along those lines. It's peak Lana mumble though.

I honestly think Lana told us everything we need to know in the iconic Ride monologue; she "seeks safety in other people" so she likely chose Jeremy bc he makes her feel safe and/or like he can be her home. She has had liberal politics while living in California and influenced by her friends there, but she has "a chameleon soul, no moral compass pointing due north, no fixed personality" so she's leaning more conservative now bc of being in Louisiana and with Jeremy. This is her Southern Gothic era and she's all about it right now, but who knows who she'll be next? Honestly if I were Jeremy, I'd be really scared bc she has always matched her man to whatever phase she's in (she was all about Sean in her Americana prairie phase, etc) but the phases change every couple of years.

“The one and only”? Right. “I’ve loved every boy I’ve ever dated” says hi Unless she means the one and only right NOW, which… you got married 5 minutes ago so I would hope so???

Oh, wow, a Lana album about motherhood would be epic... Cherry Blossom makes me fucking cry every time; imagine a whole album with that energy? When you're scared, I'll be right here You feel afraid, mommy is there And if she ever did get divorced (not saying I wish for that, just IF), the lyrical shade would be lethal. You're as pretty as a postcard No thanks to your old man

Well, he is a redneck. I don't mean that as an insult; he just literally is. So it would be more surprising if he weren't a Trump supporter, as that's the norm in the rural South. I bet his family and friends are shocked he's marrying a Los Angeles celebrity, pretty much the most liberal people in the US. They are from polar opposite worlds, so they must feel it's worth it. Maybe they don't talk about politics. Maybe they agree to disagree. Maybe they talk about it a lot, and they have found common ground. She's been so private about him that she clearly doesn't want to share anything publicly, perhaps bc of exactly the kind of criticism we're seeing here.

I want her to do a cover of Blue Bayou. And I want someone to make a supercut of all the images of her in wedding gowns from concerts and videos and magazines, finishing with her in her actual wedding gown. Maybe set it to Say Yes to Heaven. (and if the marriage implodes at some point, set it to Fine China instead but I still want to see it)

I wonder if she walked down the aisle to "See you l8r alligator" I'm kidding. Her dress is iconic though. It's this one: https://www.cinq.la/therivergown The designer's gowns are described as "a unique progressive nostalgia combining vintage silhouettes with modern details." That is the most Lana-coded thing I have ever heard! We all know she's wanted a wedding and a baby for quite awhile now. I hope she has Clementine Dufrene-Grant when she is ready and all her dreams come true.

It’s a reflection of how many Taylor stans and Taylana stans there are rather than song quality; their friendship is magic -
Lana Del Rey and Quavo “Tough” - OUT NOW!

10 days later and I still think about this post when I need to cheer myself up with a BIG laugh -
The return of Cipriani, but this time not the basement?

Her part is really pretty and classy, and then his is just nasty AF. Although the idea that he thinks she was won over with "I'm Gerald" is amazing

Or maybe they're too mutually hypnotized by each other's sexy lips to talk with 'em I credit the power of Lana for the fact that the lyrics are basically the checklist of country song cliches (ahem: https://youtu.be/y7im5LT09a0?si=HwlI1lvr0xmPXHgx) but it's still the bop of the summer. Her power!
