please stop. She already told us in October she wasn’t planning on touring. BOZ said we weren’t going to have to wait long so obviously something is coming.

If she ever gets social media back I want it ran by her. It’s been a big part of her since the MySpace days, and it’d feel completely unauthentic if it was a team running it. Even when she broght back honeymoon, it was “for friends only❤️“ so she obviously likes that connection to her fans. I definitely think she’ll use honeymoon to promote the album like she did for Blue Banisters, and I’m sure LDR village will send an e-mail, and there’ll be ads on Facebook and YouTube. I’m not worried about it, she knows the fans will do the promo for her

This is probably going to be controversial, and I’m absolutely not trying to downplay her or the work she does, but I don’t really think she ‘needs’ to take a break, and I think the album should just come when it’s done. Yes, she for sure works super hard writing, recording, and mastering..but it’s not like she’s constantly overworked and going on endless tours and doing mad promo. Her last couple eras have been very ‘let the music do the work’ and aside from a couple of videos, interviews, and photoshoots she really hasn’t had to do much. And she said in October she wasn’t touring so she could focus on writing so I don’t think she even wants to take a break

I really do think the rollout is the reason it’s my least favorite album. NFR has some of my favorite songs she’s ever recorded, but the wait soured it completely for me. Like sure some of the songs seem a little weak for her, but they’re still good tracks. I was really afraid BB was going to be a repeat when we got the singles in May and then she didn’t say anything about either false release date. And then her “single soonish album later later” terrified me all LDR9 has to do is have a smooth rollout, that’s it i remember right after LFL dropped she said she was going to release BAR/Yosemite as little folk singles and I was so upset she never did, but at least the did find their homes.

it’s worse when magazines gave it a March release date (which I’m not overly mad about since Lana herself never gave the March date) and the random tweet from one of her burner accounts “album is done but who knows when it’s coming out” in like March

I do the exact same thing! MAC/VB, and the trio are completely separate from the albums in my head. I know she probably isn’t allowed to becuase of her label, but I’ve always thought she’d thrive releasing singles and not have them tied to an album. She’s said so many times she wishes she could do one offs, but never has. The only single she’s released far out that hasn’t felt separate from the album is Love, but I think I subconsciously know that was pure sabotage and she had no intent to release it 5 months out. She (or her team) said in an interview it had an April release date.

Which I am happy about, I’m never going to complain about new music but the least she could do is communicate “here’s a song, album is coming along” it’s so grating to get a single (or 2 or 3) and it be followed by radio silence. MAC/VB are both career highlights but they felt so old and stale by the time the album actually came. edit: old and stale is the wrong words. They both still sound super fresh but in the context of the album they felt old

My only hope for LDR9 is that she doesn’t release a single super early. She said less than a month ago she wasn’t sure where the album was going, and since then BOZ has said we don’t have to wait long for new music. NFR was extremely excruciating. COTCC was super annoying with the September release date never being acknowledged at all, and a 6 month (I guess it was only 5 but it still was terrible) wait between LMLYLAW and the album. BB was also kind of annoying with the 2 fake release dates and 5 month wait between the trio of singles and the album. I don’t want the single released until she is completely sure of the album rollout

same and it’s so annoying that now every fake track list has like 4 or 5 and it’s just like…you want more YouTube rips on albums I’m all for giving leaked songs a home, but do the 25 unreleased collection or at least change them up like Thunder

Blue banisters is an okay title, Arcadia would have been a better title, Rock Candy Sweet is an iconic title but I also think it would have been terrible for the last album. I’m still hoping LDR9 is RCS

Honestly she hasn’t taken an extended period of time off since 2018 (nfr 2019, violets 2020, and two albums this year) so I don’t expect anything. but realistically I definitely see another album (or a slew of singles leading to a 2022 album) behind the iron gates, and maybe the cover album??

The way we’ll never get surprises from Lana bc of insiders we already have lyrics and an apparent release date of next month and Lana hasn’t said a word
