she truly set herself up with this one. i still can't believe she disregarded the entire point of the interview, questions about the album, to make a political statement that nobody needed. on one hand trump's presidency did open the eyes of many people of the younger generation on social issues in the world but on a wider scale dismissing everything else wrong going on in america is not the way to go about that especially considering the current political climate doesn't affect her in the slightest as she has no idea of the harsh reality capitalism and climate change truly affect the working and lower class. her new "woke" personality that she now has in retaliation to the criticism at "question for the culture", i assume, is just embarrassing and she should really collect herself before she ends up saying something she'll never be able to bounce back from.

i don't get why people say it upsets them when other people say NFR is lana's best, it's just personal taste it's hard for me to say which album is my favorite cause i like them all for different reasons but personally i relate to NFR the most as the lyrics are so raw and i guess the most realistic in a way? most lana songs from BTD-HM paint this dramatic picture of a relationship straight out of like a godfather movie, which i love her storytelling and the cinematic feeling of those songs but it can sometimes be so over the top and dramatic that you can't even feel comforted by it.

paradise used to be my favorite lana project for years like i would defend that album to the death but maybe i've overplayed or something cause it does nothing for me anymore.. ride being the exception. i think most of it has to do with the production and some of the melodies cause i absolutely love the lyrics but songs like gods & monsters and bel air just feel like listening to the same one minute loop for 4 minutes, which is essentially what a song is lmao.. but that never ending drum loop in g&m and the tempo literally never changes . also cola and body electric feel like the exact same song with different lyrics and yayo just feels so bleak compared to the original version.

i don't blame her for wanting to take a step back out of the spotlight and social media after all the work she's been doing with cocc and it'll probably be a big release but i just wish she would've waited at least the day after it was released to say all this, it's good her poetry makes her so happy but can she just focus on one thing at a time not when COCC is probably gonna be her last big budget era that she puts effort into cause she never wants to do it again
