Honestly, the morons who don't realise that this is part of the show make me cringe for humanity in general. -
“Lana Del Rey” Name Progression Discussion
longtimeman replied to MakingOut's topic in Lana Thoughts
Also the song 'Wayamaya', which most people date from 2007 or 2008, has the line 'we changed our names to Lana and Ray'. Because of that, and some other stuff, I'm pretty sure it came first of all from personal rather than professional impulses. -
Lana Surpasses Beyonce In Monthly Spotify Fans
longtimeman replied to Strangelove's topic in Lana Thoughts
You have a point, but Lana's big streamer (about double the figures of her next record) is over a decade old. I agree with some of the other posts here - it's like Lana's life is some sort of ironic fairytale where everything she does to give herself privacy and lower her profile, ends up making her more popular and well known. -
gold.

Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
longtimeman replied to Monicker's topic in Lana Thoughts
I think he was just another delusional guy who thought he and Lana were best friends and wrote songs together and god knows what else. He became a running joke here for a while, and remains unknown. -
Does anybody like every Lana song that she has released???
longtimeman replied to MakingOut's topic in Lana Thoughts
I think I like every song on her released albums, and most of her released 'miscellaneous' songs (soundtracks, compilation tracks, collabs etc). Even songs that I don't find that exciting to think about (ie that I'll sing to myself or cue up deliberately) will sound cool if I just happen upon them. I also accidentally love a lot of the songs that are 'controversial' among fans. -
This is the most Australian post ever on LB.

Thank you! Holy shit - despite the crowd, Lana sounds incredible. -
I don't think we have anything to worry about. Their posts are already the written equivalent of scat.

Such a beautiful clip, and the song is a nice update of one of her unreleased classics. What more could you want?

The same reason they hate her friends - they think that they are Lana's real family and friend.

In typical stan fashion, the wrong person is getting shit over this. -
Looking forward to the (more Lizzy) edition.

I think at this point, they need her more than she needs them, so they know their place, but for certain songs, they are definitely going to try to convince her. I think it helps that SYTH is lyrically a fairly non specific song. I think that, for example, if Pink Champagne had become a tiktok hit, there's still no way she would have released it, because of how personal and raw it is.

I'm finally getting to watch this properly, and holy flurking shnit. This is one of the best concerts I've ever seen from anyone. I didn't think she was going to basically do a 100 minute version of the Candy Necklace MV, and if you're criticising it based on the setlist without actually seeing what she does with it, then you've got to do yourself a favour and actuallly watch it. And if you still don't like it, this might not be the right train for you to be on. -

Maybe they couldn't handle a song where the singer is literally on her back for most of it -

Rewatching this video again after all these years makes me so sad, yet so happy. The word icon is overused, but Tina Turner will forever be in the pantheon of greatness. RIP.

I'm really glad it's Friday, because I'm going to be streaming this all weekend.
