  1. Amazing work! Thanks for posting this.
  2. She said she was making a big announcement ...
  3. I was so confused by this until I saw the signature You can really see the difference between true fans and resellers.
  4. It's fun to come to a thread on Lanaboards that's already mentioned Neubauten and Suicide! The Triffids - Raining Pleasure - not super obscure in Australia or the UK, but maybe not so well known these days in the broader musical world. I feel like the sound influenced a lot of late 80s/early 90s indie pop as well
  5. A legend and a musical wonder. The world will be poorer for losing her. Fans of the Honeymoon album should check out her work with Serge Gainsbourg on 'Histoire de Melody Nelson' - the quietest and most beautiful orchestral pop album of the 70s.
  6. I can't believe I'm sitting listening to this live.

    Britney Spears

I'm very interested to read/listen to the book.
  8. I know there's not a lot of love for the dancers, but (going by the video), I'm finding the choreography for Chemtrails to be beautiful and inspiring.
  9. Social media is certainly fulfilling the capitalist dream of getting everyone hooked on it, switching it to a paid model, and turning it to shit.
  10. Or definitely ask their name and write it on the record
  11. Now that Fantano is a stan, this woman is trying for the #1 Lana Hater job.
  12. I think you've really nailed it here. A better analogy would be between Chanel shoes that are available in stores, or full prototypes that still went through the Chanel design/production process, but for marketing reasons were left off the shelf. Someone might genuinely like the latter more than the more widely available ones because they're cooler or more comfortable or whatever, and not only because they're interested in novelty. Also, Pink Champagne and LMLYLAW are completely different songs, as are Earthquakes and A&W. They're more like a fan preferring Honeymoon to Born To Die, which just proves there is different taste in the world.
  13. Three months in, and I'm still listening to at least part of the record every day.
  14. Honestly, the morons who don't realise that this is part of the show make me cringe for humanity in general.
  15. Also the song 'Wayamaya', which most people date from 2007 or 2008, has the line 'we changed our names to Lana and Ray'. Because of that, and some other stuff, I'm pretty sure it came first of all from personal rather than professional impulses.
  16. You have a point, but Lana's big streamer (about double the figures of her next record) is over a decade old. I agree with some of the other posts here - it's like Lana's life is some sort of ironic fairytale where everything she does to give herself privacy and lower her profile, ends up making her more popular and well known.
  17. https://people.com/lana-del-rey-dad-rob-grant-loves-being-called-nepo-daddy-lost-at-sea-album-exclusive-interview-7510179 Fun, long new article.
  18. I think he was just another delusional guy who thought he and Lana were best friends and wrote songs together and god knows what else. He became a running joke here for a while, and remains unknown.
  19. I think I like every song on her released albums, and most of her released 'miscellaneous' songs (soundtracks, compilation tracks, collabs etc). Even songs that I don't find that exciting to think about (ie that I'll sing to myself or cue up deliberately) will sound cool if I just happen upon them. I also accidentally love a lot of the songs that are 'controversial' among fans.
  20. This is the most Australian post ever on LB.
  21. Thank you! Holy shit - despite the crowd, Lana sounds incredible.
  22. I don't think we have anything to worry about. Their posts are already the written equivalent of scat.
