I love how of all the Beatles songs to play, she goes for the most depressing one ever Edit: Nevermind. She looks so good, apparently she's affecting my ability to recognise songs now

It was Lana's twitter account around the time of AKA being released.

Right. Even though there weren't that many tweets on the account, it's a shame that it's being ruined and I'm worried about reporting it in case it gets deleted altogether.

Has @drugmoney been hacked? It just started retweeting a tonne of things not to do with Lana.

Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
longtimeman replied to Monicker's topic in Lana Thoughts
I think I do - what did you want to know? The file name I have is 'ROSES - NEW VERSION'; artist is 'BRAIDE PRODUCTIONS'; Album is 'Ballad female R&B male rap'. -
This situation will only change when the people who are behind the leaks (not the teenagers - I mean the people who are the weak link in the chain among management/record label/recording studio) start to lose their jobs, and have their names made mud in their industry. I would bet that it will take two people at the most to find themselves out on their arses in the street, before we never hear about another leak.

Can someone repost that video somewhere?

LANALYSIS: Relating Songs To Known/Assumed Relationships
longtimeman replied to Sitar's topic in Lana Thoughts
The first rule of Lanalysis is that you shouldn't get your information from Lana when it comes to the date something happened, if you want an accurate timeframe. -
Mixing is the most difficult and time consuming part of making a record - it's easy to do badly, but if you want to do it well (and keeping in mind that once you've done it, it's virtually set in stone forever) it can be an extremely slow process if you have any more than two instruments. One of the reasons it takes so long is that you can get 'audio fatigue' if you spend too much time listening to the same thing, and you can lose the ability to judge what you're hearing if you don't space it out.

This record's really interesting! Well done It has a spooky early Suicide/mid era Whitehouse sound which I have a lot of time for. Is it available anywhere to download/buy?

That's not her photo. https://twitter.com/DavidNakamura/status/822226330213351425 David Nakamura @DavidNakamura 9h9 hours agoMore Just saw Marine leave station outside West Wing meaning @potus has left too. Offices empty, Obama photos off walls.

The BTD version of Off To The Races is everything I love about Lana - dramatic, over the top, on the edge, and a wild vocal performance. The fact that we only have the one studio version (plus the recently surfaced remixes that are basically the same arrangement), makes it even more perfect.

One of my favourite bands ever. When I was growing up, my sister had the two records but wouldn't let me touch them, but I heard them often enough coming from her room. I ended up getting almost all of their music on vinyl and/or CD over the years. I even like their Warsaw era, even though it's far more basic and simplistic than their proper records.
