  1. If anyone's keen to relive the madness http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/topic/4008-from-the-end-young-like-merock-me-stable-ep-tracklists-snippets-surface/
  2. Yeah, it's the obvious amount of sadism that seems to be a general characteristic of trolls, combined with the waves of sadness and anger in a post like that, which make me glad that he's taking a break from torturing animals to unleash online, but there's something inside me that feels empathy for such troubled souls, at the same time as they're upsetting me. For better or worse, Lana seems to attract a wide range of outsiders and introverts, and he's an outlier in that regard. Having said that, it can be fascinating to see a persona self destruct in front of our eyes like that - I wonder if his bringing up David Lynch was a hint that, like Betty Elms, his delusions were about to be ripped apart by his own words. This could all be a fascinating thing for some song on Honeymoon to be about (to try to bring this thread back to its topic).
  3. Vaya con Dios, buddy. I hope you find what you're looking for.

  6. I feel bad for you that whatever prison you're in, they're torturing you by forcing you to listen to music you think is stupid, and to post on message boards about that music. My prayers are with you, that you get released soon.
  7. Right But I mean it sounds like she went in to sing a song that was all done and she had nothing to do with it beyond singing. I'm not even sure if the melody is hers.
  8. Third listen and I'm starting to like it. But it sounds like a side project, not a Lana song.
  9. No - thanks for the info. It just needs to go on a different list.
  10. Thanks. You weren't kidding when you said 'small'. If anyone cares, I just checked with the band and this is digital only, and apparently didn't come out on CD.
  11. Is there a list anywhere of official CDs that LDR has appeared on with exclusive tracks. The ones I know about: Bobby Womack - The Bravest Man in the Universe (Dayglo Reflection) Mando Diao - MTV Unplugged- Above and Beyond (Chet Baker; Gloria) Cheryl - Million Lights (Ghetto Baby) Alice Brightsky - Box Of Me (Lover's Fate) OST - The Great Gatsby (Y&B) OST - Maleficent (OUAD) Various : This Is BBC Radio 6 Music Live (Video Games acoustic) BBC radio 1's Live Lounge 2012 (Blue Jeans live) I'm not so interested in remixes/promos unless it's a new title.

    Azealia Banks

Yeah, it looks like one week at #49. She easily should be a strong top 20 if she gets any push (I'm going to try to get JB HiFi, who are just about our only music retailer, to try to push it).

Thx for the updates folks. I'm going to get whatever comes out on CD, especially if it comes out in Australia (I want her to chart here).
  14. I believe B. actually wanted to cover this, but was overruled & they did Summer Wine. (FWIW I think they made the right choice). A lesser known Nancy song she would sound amazing on:
  15. You were not too chill yourself, suggesting that the record/era/scenario would be either: - Depressing - Boring - Doomed to failure. You do realise that nobody's forcing you to follow her.
  16. It's interesting that you've disregarded any outcomes that might actually be positive and interesting for Lana and the people who actually enjoy what she does.
  17. In lots of ways, Lana and Amy couldn't be more different, but with an actual collaboration impossible, I agree that some sort of cover or connection would be great.
  18. This is a cool song. Rey is spelled correctly on the back of the CD and in the liner notes.
  19. That interview makes me as ashamed of being Australian as it makes me happy to be a Lana fan
  20. I'm pretty sure the fan accounts just got it from @naachoboy here: http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/statuses/user/1120-naachoboy/?status_id=62611 from http://www.australian-charts.com/forum.asp?todo=viewthread&id=44031
  21. She also quotes from Allen Ginsberg's 'Howl', which is a poem worth reading (and may be the first mainstream use of the term 'hipster', although here it's about heroin addicts). http://www.poetryfoundation.org/poem/179381
