I see this going 1 of 2 ways- She posts something saying she didn’t know the full context and she also stands with Palestine/she wants peace for everyone. or she posts a 5 minute video doubling down on why she signed this.

This is embarrassing. I’m sure she had good intentions but she definitely should’ve taken some time to do some research before she signed onto this. It almost seems like she learned nothing from QFTC. Sometimes it’s best to say nothing at all if you don’t know what you’re talking about

Such a comfort album <3 Dealer, If You Lie Down With Me, Black Bathing Suit, and Thunder are all highlights in her discography Violets for Roses, Arcadia, Blue Banisters, Wildfire Wildflower, and Text Book are also some of my favorites I’m also so glad some of my favorite previously unreleased songs found a home on this album Love this album so much

The truth is she probably grew up middle class. Which there’s nothing wrong with that, and I can see why she feels defensive about it because the middle class does constantly get shit on by both sides (lower and upper classes) but like some of you guys need to detach a little bit and take a couple seconds to breathe

At the end of the day, does it really matter? I’m glad she told her story but why are some of you guys full on fighting in here about it

The fact is she still had to work hard for her career. If it’s true that her career was bought for her I’m sure as hell it would’ve happened when she was in her teens/early 20’s and not at 26/27

You might be right, the Grammy's needs to pick date and stick to it lol But I don't think a song has to be a single to qualify for nominations, didn't Lady Gaga submit (nominate, and won) for a random ass song from Joanne? On Blue Banisters- I think they can submit anything but the Grammy's get's the last word on if it's eligible or not. Like Lizzo's Truth hurts came out years before it got nominated. I think it's based on "extenuating circumstances" such as if it becomes a hit or not in the current year. Which would still make MAC and VB (and Blue Banisters) still ineligible, it's genuinely stupid if you ask me, it should be clear defined line but it is what it is

I agree, but MAC and VB specifically fell outside of the eligibility period for the 2020 Grammys so they would’ve been up for the 2019 Grammys. So I kind of get why she submitted NFR, but I would’ve rather The Greatest or Hope get the nominations. Maybe even Cinnamon Girl since it was one of the more popular songs on release

If she does get nominated and attends she better show in up at least in one of her thousands of Zimmerman dresses and not the Macy’s dress from 2020

The fan numbering system is nothing new and happens at almost all shows for all artists. Is it the right way to do it? Probably not but it’s also probably not going to change unless venues enforce rules. It truly does suck, but if you want to be in the front it’s your only option.

What gives it away to me that the NFR version is also the final LFL version is that she said it’s a song about Topanga. I think she initially was going to use the leaked version but then reworked it into the “NFR” version, scrapped it all together, and then finally decided to use it on NFR with no further changes.

I’ll never forget when we were all watching the first MITA show and everyone was excited when and she sang The Grants live for the first time and then the song finished and there was that short interlude and we were all waiting for what was next and the absolute collapse that it was when we heard the guitar intro for Flipside. I go back and rewatch the clip all the time, probably my fav live versions. I fear we’re gonna be chasing that high for awhile
