  1. Untouched files will have intact metadata, which can reveal information not previously known. For example, certain producers have used particular exporter versions when bouncing a file, so all their songs with Lana might have the same metadata, meaning that if we know a song is confirmed to be produced by one producer and a song with an unknown producer has the same metadata, it can potentially tell us the unknown song's producer is the same person. Exporter versions can also help us approximate the dates when songs were made. There's a lot of data to be gleaned. There can also be quality differences. Back in the day, songs often leaked through Youtube or Soundcloud, so the files were compressed and all rips from the streaming platform would be of worse quality than the original file.
  2. Incorrect, actually. Those songs leaked because Rick Nowels' personal website was not secure. He uploaded dozens of songs from various artists onto a server linked to his website, for his personal use, but it was not password protected. It wasn't linked directly on his site, but if you poked around in the source code a bit, you could easily find a link to the file-hosting area of the site. It was trivial to do; five minutes of work, if that. Once you were there, it was basically just a detailed list of downloadable files sorted by year. He eventually went in and did some individual password protection of files for only two artists: Lykke Li and Lana. The damage had already been done by the time that happened, though, as people had known about this security flaw for months prior and the files had been heavily spread. With regard to the rest of your post, though, it's mostly correct, but it misses the context that her email accounts were compromised around the same time as the laptop hack and material from both circulated heavily. As far as I'm aware, we have the vast majority of what was found by the hackers from both of those sources and most of what's left is just barely distinct alternate versions and demos. Edit: Also, the theft of her laptop in the 2020s hasn't resulted in any leaked material. It wasn't stolen to get any music files, but rather because it was left in a car and it had intrinsic value. We know for a fact that she was able to remotely wipe it, too.
  3. She was just extremely arrogant and assumed nobody would care about the thefts, since so many other hackers are actively stealing material every day and rarely get caught. Case in point: she was obsessed with the artist Upsahl and used to go into Upsahl’s Instagram livestreams to terrorize her by talking about her unreleased songs. It was actually psychotic behavior.
  4. This girl used to post a ton on Leaked.cx and was a major menace there. Really rude, nasty person. The authorities definitely did not find all her ill-gotten assets, either. She had tons of Ariana Grande material (none of which was mentioned in these articles and which I know for a fact made her a lot of money) and had claimed to have made over $150,000 selling hacked stuff, while the authorities only managed to track down £42,000.
  5. It's not leaked and seemingly nobody who has it has any intention of leaking it.

She put up a video on Instagram explaining that she felt "Our Lady of Sorrows" didn't fit her vision with the rest of the tracks in the form she had it when the album was being turned in. There was also a time crunch and she was forced to pick between "Saddest Smile" and "Our Lady of Sorrows" to put finishing touches on in order to make the album. She picked "Saddest Smile", knowing that she needed extra time to finish "Our Lady of Sorrows" properly, rather than rush it and turn out something half-baked. Guessing "Bon Voyage" was also not finished when the album was done, since it's not on the draft tracklist posted a few pages back.
  7. Coal Miner's Daughter was fake. It was just someone putting an incorrect title on Goldie Boutilier's song "K-Town".

The only outtakes we know of are on the deluxe. It's unlikely that many others exist, based on the draft tracklist posted a few pages back in this thread.

We have all three. "You Don't Scare Me" is a vaguely electronic ballad, but the vocal take is pretty rough. "Blindspot" and "Paradise" are unfinished sounding demos that have empty sections without vocals during the verses. "Blindspot" is the better of the two.

    Katy Perry

You're misunderstanding how Spotify charts are calculated. It's about how many new streams the song is gaining per day. Kesha is gaining a million streams per day and the number has been consistently rising since the song came out. Katy gained just over two million streams on debut day and less than half of that on day two, bringing her below Kesha's numbers.
  11. Yeah, I've definitely gotten that "scrambling" vibe from the amount of stress she's seemed to be under lately. I'm guessing she's had to make a lot of very big decisions about planning the sophomore rollout, which will lock her into a very specific trajectory for the next year or two. That's gotta be daunting, given how many stars with one big hit flame out after the first hurdle. Thankfully, I don't think that's what's going to happen here, especially given that she's got four songs rising independently on the Hot 100 right now. Hoping we get more news soon!
  12. No and we probably never will have any. Those are better protected than all of the other stuff that's gotten out, thus far. These are the registered ones: Contours I Can Run I Still Bleed Red Love Note Made of Stone No. 1 With a Bullet Oh Eden Reunion There's probably more than that in existence, but again, unlikely we'll ever get any of it, barring a retrospective anniversary repackage way down the road.

  14. Hit Me Up, Wild Card and Outlaw are the only other ones that I'd consider important. All the others made it on the album.
  15. Album is being turned in within the next 48 hours, according to the Instagram live she just did to celebrate the release of "Jenny's Got a Boyfriend". That means it's coming in about one month, as that's the usual window required by distributors to process a release on streaming services and digital stores.
  16. There were three guests total: Billie Eilish, Jon Batiste and Jack Antonoff, though only Jon and Billie sang with her, while Jack solely played piano. A picture of the setlist also confirmed that there were supposed to be two more guests who were ultimately not present for the show: Kehlani and Father John Misty. Kehlani has confirmed that her schedule didn't allow her to make it in time to be there. Father John Misty has not commented on the matter yet. Yes, there was a professional livestream, but you're going to have a hell of a time finding a download. Coachella copyright-claims all reuploads of their livestreamed content.
  17. Essentially the same setlist as last year's shows, in a different order. A few songs were swapped out, but the majority of the set was the exact same songs as last year. The staging is more elaborate, but honestly, not that much of an upgrade. No new tracks. No Coachella - Woodstock in My Mind. The controversy is mostly over the fact that there were a lot of technical difficulties and she gave a somewhat weak performance overall. It was not a great set, on the whole.

Someone on PopJustice posted the album tracklist months ago, for those who are curious. This is before the addition of whatever the other re-recorded track is.
  19. A person made an unreleased tracker yesterday that incorrectly listed those songs as leaked. They are not.
  20. The source was a pitching website where seemingly all uploads were censored, to make them more palatable to potential buyers.
  21. He got busy with recording his own record and writing/producing for other people. They barely worked together after Paradise. She says he's still a good friend and that they just weren't wanting to make the same types of music at that time. Whatever older thread you saw was probably a misinterpretation of her comments at the time; as far as we know, the early sessions for what became Ultraviolence were nearly all with Rick Nowels, not Emile.
  22. This is absolutely not how it works. She would have to negotiate the rights specifically when attempting to be released from her contract. Labels retain rights to all music produced under their auspices as a part of almost all recording contracts. There's a significant chance she is leaving with almost none of the music produced in the last ten years.

They originally quoted this post and asked for the source:
  24. Proper title is "You. I. Forever". You might be confusing it with "You + I = Death", which is an unleaked track.
