  1. lmao I was waiting for someone to say this. I don't find them gross but a bit irritating. Not really flattering kind of. Smaller pearls would have been better (and probably also less gross to some)
  2. Maybe this belongs to the unpolular opinion thread but since it's kind of an answer to your question here I go: No matter how much the tickets cost, it's too much for what she has been delivering (or rather not delivering) in the past 2 years. So regarding that I'd say they're too expensive for what you get at the moment. Of course that decision is completely up to you though. I'd readily pay for a show as they were from BTD to Honeymoon but everything that came after that was just not worth it to me.
  3. She did that all the time from 2012-14 and it was her best look ever, I'm glad she rediscovered it
  4. I LOVE this video. And I also think it makes the wait a little less tedious if at all, because it all seems like one art project, including poetry (I believe Behind The Iron Gates is gonna be directly linked to this record), music and these "art" videos. Like, the era has officially started with this, it's part of it. Doesn't feel like a delay to me anymore
  5. I definitely feel like her ego got just a little bit too big to be healthy recently... still enjoyed the interview. The part about her wondering if COCC is "new folk or country" worries me though. I could make it through a folk record but country would be my worst nightmare, I'd rather have her doing death metal omg
  6. I completely agree with everything you wrote
  7. This time I won't listen to any snippets. I really want the entire album to be new to me when it's out.
  8. There's a really old interview with her on tumblr (i think her then-bf interviewed her) and she made a playlist of her favourite songs https://lizzygrant4ever.tumblr.com/post/58371003104/lizzy-grantlana-del-rey-myspace-screenshots
  9. YES YES YES hiab is a skip for me also - honeymoon and ultraviolence remain her best albums. i just don't get how so many people think nfr is her best (although it's a good album of course but-)
  10. And don't forget that music video for Wildest Dreams where she not only completely looks like Lana but also (sometimes LITERALLY) copies her lyrics. Just a few of the most obvious rip-offs: - He said, "Let's get out of this town, drive out of the city away from the crowds" - I thought, "Heaven can't help me now" - Nothin' lasts forever but this is gonna take me down - He's so tall and handsome as hell, he's so bad but he does it so well - I can see the end as it begins - Say you'll remember me standin' in a nice dress, starin' at the sunset, babe - Red lips and rosy cheeks - Wildest dreams, wildest dreams - I said, "No one has to know what we do" - I bet these memories will follow you around This is so obvious not even her fans can deny it.
  11. I hope so omg. We all want her to be happy in her private life but songwise her dark stuff is best in my opinion
  12. Idk I feel like in a way Lana's albums always have sort of a theme/concept going on. During BTD she was obviously fascinated by Nabokov's Lolita, during UV it was dark stuff like heroin and A Clockwork Orange, after which she was with Francesco (after the turbulent relationship with Barrie) and she was traveling to italy, on private yachts, being a wedding guest & doing family things, very sober and ready to settle and we got an album called Honeymoon with calm and more mature songs... then for LFL she was determined to "become more worldy" and political and finally she really got into poetry and that's how we got a very wordy album with songs like Hope and NFR. So she's always interested in something and it usually ends up to be the theme for an album. Not sure if she even does that on purpose all of the time... I don't think so, I think it just happens and that's why her albums usually end up being more of a "watered-down" version of a concept album (?)
  13. Since understatement has been her thing lately with all the selfies and selfmade music videos I want the COCC cover to be MONUMENTAL! Lana standing above the camera, looking down at us. I want that arrogant bitch face she does so well
  14. Overall I agree with you BUT I just wanna say I feel like she did calm down a lot since 2016/17 but lately she's been in a more troubled phase again - thinking of the mother's day posts and everything... they weren't dramatic to the world but for a family that's a REALLY bad thing to happen. And she's writing about Slyvia Plath so much and how she relates to her. That doesn't really sound happy to me. I think something's troubling her again.
  15. A Slim Aarons style cover would be so amazing. I'd love something colorful like the MTWBT music video stills.
  16. NOW would be the time for a Looking For America 2.0 with all the proceeds being donated. I have to say I'm more sad than angry about everything that's happened recently. I still love her but oh man...
  17. I know the relationship was difficult etc but I also think Barrie was perfect for Lana in the way that they could be so creative together. In general I think she needs a fellow artist by her side who understands her (not some self-centered cop...).
  18. I don't see THAT many hate comments on insta. More people sending her love than hate. Thank God.
  19. Oh wow just woke up to see that insta video and idk what it is but this is the first poem of hers that really made me feel something. I even teared up afterwards, can't even say why tbh. But this seems like it's the most heartfelt poem she's shown us so far...
  20. HIAB is an awful song with cringy lyrics and I don't understand the hype
  21. I'm not even part of this family and I'm still uncomfortable as hell reading that tweet
