I think I really appreciate UV more because of its rock-oriented sound and the much deeper, more emotional and crazy feel of it all. The record feels like you're going on such a journey, it's full of self-conflict and contradiction, vulnerability and fleeting moments of power and strength. The lyrics are from a special and dark part of Lana's mind. I feel like it was a true breakthrough album as far as sound and instrumentation goes. It's a much more relatable and coherent piece of work that drew on a really amazing and broad range of inspirations - soft grunge, psychedelia and jazz. I never tire of listening to it, quite honestly.

omg I was just listening to this on a walk and thinking about how good of a song it is. it's not a standout or one of the best on uv, a album full of amazing songs, but the lyrics and the instrumentation and the idea behind the whole vibe is just fantastic on Lana's part.

ahhh I've been looking for it but I can only find a pretty similar one

I LOVE the verses in GKIT, but the chorus really loses me. "God knows I ..." is SO trite and boring. I really wish there was some variety in the song because it has such good instrumentation and her vocals are amazing.
