So maybe she and Jimmy never had a relationship but he knew she liked him but he mainly wanted to support her music so that's why she facebooked him Yayo? Because obviously You're Gonna Love Me is partially about him, "Jim, I'mma dedicate this whole album to you/You told me to get my way, that's exactly what I'm gonna do" - he told her to do her own thing and maybe Yayo was the start of the AKA era, so she sent it to him because she wanted to show him that he had a positive effect on her career.

I still think Radio is about Jimmy though, when she talked about it she was also talking about people "coming out of the woodworks", so maybe what she meant with him coming back was that he changed his mind, which brings me to Gods & Monsters. She's obviously written a lot of songs about their imaginary relationship and now he's interested in her because life imitates art. It also fit with her stalking admiring him from afar, "a groupie incognito posing as a real singer" and "If I get a little prettier, can I be your baby?". She literally made herself prettier (lips and so on).

Who Radio is about haunts me
I do think it's about Jimmy though, in Radio she sings "how do you like me now?" a line she also used in Get Drunk, and in GD she sings "I am sleeping with your best friend" and I loosely remember reading something about there being a triangle drama between Lana, Jimmy and some other dude. (Arthur?)

It bothers me that in the HDB demo she sings "Ruby Tuesday's or Citco, I loved you then" and in Every Man Gets His Wish she sings "He found me waitressing at Ruby Tuesdays" and references a Chevy/Chevrolet in both but in This Is What Makes Us Girls she sings "Teachers said we'd never make it out alive" and back in EMGHS "You said I'd never make out outta here alive"

It's like she's doing it on purpose to confuse us

They obviously never worked in a communication agency. I would have get my head cut off for not catching the misspelling and sending it for the world to see it. Proof read peeps, always. Lucky Naomi is the client's close friend.

i like the way she speaks and the string arrangement in ride was nice too but this is soo cheesy and cringeworthy:

"I was in the winter of my life- and the men I met along the road were my only summer. At night I fell sleep with vision of myself dancing and laughing and crying with them. Three year down the line of being on an endless world tour and memories of them were the only things that sustained me, and my only real happy times. I was a singer, not very popular one, who once has dreams of becoming a beautiful poet- but upon an unfortunate series of events saw those dreams dashed and divided like million stars in the night sky that I wished on over and over again- sparkling and broken. But I really didn’t mind because I knew that it takes getting everything you ever wanted and then losing it to know what true freedom is.
When the people I used to know found out what I had been doing, how I had been living- they asked me why. But there’s no use in talking to people who have a home, they have no idea what its like to seek safety in other people, for home to be wherever you lied you head.
I was always an unusual girl, my mother told me that I had a chameleon soul. No moral compass pointing me due north, no fixed personality. Just an inner indecisiviness that was as wide as wavering as the ocean. And if I said that I didn’t plan for it to turn out this way I’d be lying- because I was born to be the other woman. I belonged to no one- who belonged to everyone, who had nothing- who wanted everything with a fire for every experience and an obssesion for freedom that terrified me to the point that I couldn’t even talk about- and pushed me to a nomadic point of madness that both dazzlez and dizzied me.
Every night I used to pray that I’d find my people- and finally I did- on the open road. We have nothing to lose, nothing to gain, nothing we desired anymore- except to make our lives into a work of art.
LIVE FAST. DIE YOUNG. BE WILD. AND HAVE FUN.
I believe in the country America used to be. I belive in the person I want to become, I believe in the freedom of the open road. And my motto is the same as ever- *I believe in the kindness of strangers. And when I’m at war with myself- I Ride. I Just Ride.*
Who are you? Are you in touch with all your darkest fantasies?
Have you created a life for yourself where you’re free to experience them?
    I Have.
I Am Fucking Crazy. But I Am Free."

tbh, I think this song is in poor taste. Even if it was written out of jealousy and only for Lana to hear, it's just a mean, spiteful song. "You’re looking like a man, you’re talking like a baby///Stefani, you suck, I know you’re selling twenty million, Wish they could have seen you when we booed you off in Williamsburg". She was what, 23-24 years old when she wrote this? She sounds like a bratty 14-year old. I wonder if she has any regrets about writing this

I was thinking about what tied the whole trilogy together and when TV in Black & White leaked the line "troubles come in threes" really stood out to me. Maybe the trilogy is about the main troubles of her life (weaved in with honouring love lost, etc): BTD is about addiction and death; BJ is about K going to prison; VG is about her having to let go of her career ambitions because things weren't going anywhere and "relaxing into a more simple life".
