I'm not, using a vpn. And, i'm also really overwhelmed with how many of my favs are releasing simultaneously. first lorde, then kim petras, charli, dawn of chromatica, lana and now kacey! all in less than a month, wtf lol

anyone listening? i'm 4 tracks in and i'm surprised at how pop this is! maybe it'll change later on in the album, who knows. I'm still thinking about Good Wife. I didn't like it in the first minute, but ended up REALLY liking it. fav so far.

current favs from solar power: oceanic feeling (literally everything ive ever wanted from her ever since i heard this was going to be a stoner album), secrets, solar power, mood ring and stoned. my current least favs are the path and fallen fruit. the way she sings on these songs just doesn’t sound nice to me. others seem to have these songs as their favs tho, so maybe i’ll completely do a 180 on them once i get more used to their sound. on the title track she sings quite similar to the path, and that song is one of my favs so who knows, maybe i'll learn to love it. overall: this album is great. i get why ppl (especially melodrama fanatics) wouldn’t like it. but this album feels like it was made for me at this specific time in my life. i never had a breakup, so melodrama never really clicked for me. solar power feels so much more relatable as 24 year old stoner (hate that word, feels pretentious, but then again, who cares). right now in my life i’m trying to take it a little more slow. i just graduated from my master’s, which left me a little burned out. spending the days this summer smoking weed and soaking in the sun was the perfect preparation for this album i feel. Also, how in the hell were y'all writing whole essay-type of reviews hours after this came out (or leaked). i feel like i need at least 2 days with any album to even begin to try to put my feelings to words. no album ever clicks for me on first listen and my opinion on first listen literally always changes with more listens

Can anyone maybe say what we know about this album yet? i've been really busy with my master's thesis lately, so i have not been paying attention to this new era at all yet. Looks like she's aiming to release in a few months?

wait, this version of DTT sounds completely different from the live version, right? just listened to the live version and when she sings these lyrics, it doesn't sound as upbeat as it does in this snippet. Hope she keeps the 'slower' version of DTT, i really like it

I only come on here around release times of my absolute favs (charli and lorde mainly), so not too much. But i have to say, everytime i've been on here for more than 2 consecutive days, i have to leave. You guys are sooo dramatic, its insane. You guys are literally so dramatic, wtf. This new track is obviously a track that will suite better in the context of the album. i bet if this was released with the whole album at the same time y'all would say 'omg yas queen SATNS is giving me wild at heart. yasss slay queeen blablabla.'. But just because this song is released as a promo single (not even real single, it doesn't have a music video), you guys write off this entire album as a nfr copycat. What about solar power (song) sounds nfr? guess now is my time to make a statement about leaving a toxic environment but i'll be back the moment something else leaks or is announced ?

You know y'all are setting yourselves up for disappointment with the way y'all are hyping up mood ring, right? like, based on solar power (song) and california, the direction of this album is pretty clear to me. I don't think mood ring is gonna give y'all what y'all want from miss lorde

To me this sounds like a mix between nfr and the verses remind me of some of the songs from daddy's home. While i can definitely see why some of you may be disappointed by that, i'm not at all. those two albums are two of my favs and i can't wait for lorde to follow in their footsteps love the storytelling on the song. i wonder if this is about a relationship or about the love she received as a celebrity in hollywood.. maybe both?

Then, in a seperate post, they posted a 13 sec long snippet of california, which sounds really nice but really you can't hear all that much. The post is deleted/hidden from r/lorde, but if you go to the user's profile, you can still find it. They also posted new lyrics from an unknown song “Now, I spent thousands on you darling, all the hotels and the jets. And I’d pay it all again to have your golden body back in my bed.
