Sometimes a simple ballad is better than full production for the sake of it (look at what happened to How To Disappear). I still think we'll get the Cherry/Cinnamon/TJF of BB and also some rock-ish songs similar to Thunder if she didn't change it too much. Also I wouldn't call Text Book a ballad per se, it's more of a Get Free type of track. Maybe it's the midpoint where the album transitions from piano to mid tempo bops

And if you watch closely the original selfie the bruises appeared in the darker areas of the image so it was probably the 28 filter layering that did that but maybe Lana liked the coincidence and used them because of that who knows

I'm curious about the single cover. Is she going to use the selfie again or another pic from the Neil photoshoot? Maybe she'll use a screenshot from the MV . If we get it with the preorder maybe we won't get one and she'll use the album cover (like TG and FIILY) tho. Or not cause we got a single cover for Chemtrails title track when she released it with the preorder (even though she posted the cover a month before that). A lot of questions and no answers

I don't know why some of you find weird that she namedrops people in BB. She's been doing that her whole career (The Jims, The Ks, the Johns... even Chuck in Motel 6) it's just that this time we actually know who she's talking about but it's not for the sake of authenticity it's her way of writing.

Snippets like Love Song, California and Hope were alright but we basically had the whole Cinnamon and HIAB songs combining the snippets

I think we'll get around 14 songs. Chemtrails was short cause she used up all the songs she had (other than Dealer and LYTAN that I guess didn't fit the album and LYTAN was allegedly old anyway) but for BB we know she has a lot of songs cause she even scrapped like half of the album . I'm starting to think that boz knows almost nothing this time cause why won't he say anything about the tracklist other than vague statements like "she changed it", "something that I really hope it would make it got scrapped". The only direct info we got was that he teased Thunder and Cherry Blossom but he also said the title changed and Lana posted the BB album cover some days after that so...

Someone asked him that day (Monday) and he said that the title was still not Blue Banisters on his end. I'll try to post a screenshot.

Lana was done with Chemtrails way before releasing it because of the delays. She had all those songs sitting there doing nothing cause she had to wait for plants to press the vinyls so when she released it she was already in a different headspace writing and recording new music so I don't blame her. Also I don't think she has this concept of eras anymore (if she even had it). We're lucky if we get 1 big MV for the new album but I wouldn't call that lazy. Other than the contractual obligations of her label, she doesn't really have to do anything more than writing and releasing music (and we know that she's the opposite of lazy in that aspect). But I agree that it would be more exciting if she used the full potential out of her albums in the visual side (the almost creepy Interview Magazine video and the Chemtrails MV were a step in the right direction but that's all we got cause the other videos were just whatever). I just keep my expectations low on everything other than the music so when she decides to do anything new I'm more excited

When Lana doesn't show her nails in the latest selfie so we don't know if she took that pic in 2020, early 2021 or if she's still making the visuals for her 2030 album Old Blue Banisters

I mean it probably was cause we even had "bts" pics by her brother and she had her signature Chemtrails hair but maybe they were just trying stuff and ended up being just an instagram photoshoot

Do we think we'll get the preorder with the single? For Chemtrails we got LMLYLAW in October and then silence until December when she announced the preorder + title track for January with a final MV in March with the album. It lowkey mimics this rollout too: Random 3 singles in May then 2 months and she teased the album + new single so maybe we'll get the song in August (with the preorder) and the album with another MV late September-October.

If the chorus and bridge are as good as the verses the new single is going to be my favourite from the bunch. I can't stop playing the snippet she sound so good and the melody is so nice

I had this weird dream where Lana started uploading alternative covers of every album and single she released (for some reason there was a lot of leopard print) and the captions were like the track names and lyrics from BB and we were all waiting for her to post the next one to see another track I had a lot of dreams about Lana but never about LB or album promo

I got a notification from Shazam saying they finally found the song I tried to shazam and I got excited thinking it was the new single and... it's a fucking cover of Lana's Thunder by "Bella Donna". By the way, it's on Spotify and the credits claim it was written by her... the delusion

I wonder why she didn't release the single already if even the MV is filmed. Maybe we'll only get 2 "proper" singles this time and they want to release it with the preorder for promo? I hope we get at least another single with a big video on release week tho . I'd love a MV on the set of the album cover/photoshoot. She looks so good.

I'm surprised it took her this long to have an album title with the word "Blue" in it but it also took her like 7 albums to have a song called California so...

The first 3 singles all got great reviews (as they should) and critics will eat Thunder up cause they are suckers for that kind of music. The lyrics have been stellar and even though the instrumental production is on the simpler side at times, the vocal production and delivery carry the songs. Chemtrails got critical acclaim too even though people though she couldn't release anything close to NFR (so we know they are not biased comparing everything to Norman).

That Billboard rule is such a dumb thing. I understand getting rid of tour and merch bundles that were just made for boosting numbers but the physicals????? It's literally the music itself. Who cares if the vinyls are delivered within the first week or not? People bought it anyway when it was available. For Chemtrails we had to wait a lot because besides the pressing process, the plants were also closed for some weeks so if the album is submitted already maybe we'll have BB by September - October. It's still hard to predict because even though vinyl takes like 6-10 weeks to make things have changed because of covid and the demand going up.
