Thought about this a lot, and can’t wait to make another one post-Chemtrails To the Moon, Again Tour 202x Intimate shows in mid-size venues with a full band, two nights in smaller cities, three nights for larger. Moody setlist with coordinating set, picturing dark drape-y fabric with soft lights filtering out behind them, rugs on the floor, shiny cat palms beneath the black and white video playing behind the set. Palm trees silhouetted under the full moon, vintage slides showing constellations and their interpretations, glass breaking from the Chemtrails video, smoking her vape, scenic shots of the coast and countryside, wolf Lana, shots of the Canyon at sunset, imagery similar to the first half of the PSB video, butterflies emerging from their cocoons, etc. Intro: Burnt Norton Interlude, “into the rose garden” repeats several times. Transitions into Chemtrails video outro with the vocal layering + vocals over the drums 1: Cruel World 2: Shades of Cool 3: Sad Girl 4: God Knows I Try 5: The Blackest Day 6: Honeymoon 7: West Coast 8: Venice Bitch 9: California 10: Fuck it I love you Intermission: Born to Die, Blue Jeans (with video intro), Video Games medley 11: Music to Watch Boys To 12: Freak 13: Kill Kill 14: 13 Beaches 15: Heroin 16: Yayo 17: Fine China 18: Life is Beautiful 19: Lust for Life (demo version) 20: Money Power Glory 21: Living Legend Encore 22: Some Unholy War (cover) 23: Gods and Monsters 24: Bel Air 25: Chemtrails Over the Country Club 26: Get Free (lights change to blue)

Lana's diction and incomprehensible lyrics
rabbit replied to americangothic's topic in Lana Thoughts
YES! Exactly this! I was kinda crushed when I learned the truth, I still sing it “a half-life in lost dreams” -
Wow! Used to be so into, and still dearly love, When You Walk A Long Distance..., but haven’t revisited them since. Will do, thanks for the sign

I’m not mad about Weyes Blood closing out the album, though I think it’s an interesting choice to have anyone but Lana herself do so. Titanic Rising is one of my favorite albums, so there’s some bias for sure. Love Natalie’s voice, and appreciate that she’s friends with Lana. They’re quite different musically, but both offer depth in storytelling and evoke strong emotion. Maybe it will make sense. Our girl didn’t want to center herself (except with Neil, but even then her eyes downward) on the album cover/PD, so maybe not being focus on the album art/the last to sing presents a loose theme. Probably not lol, but I’m really curious if this is something Lana put thought into, or just seemed right when recording.

I sincerely hope you’re correct! A project in the vein of Big Thief, or Adrianne’s abysskiss would be incredible. Reading that review has me even more excited! Each album has been significantly different from the last, and one called Chemtrails carries a higher expectation of depth and interest behind it, and it really seems she’s going to deliver!! The shorter track list saddens me a bit (RIP for now Dealer), but I trust that it’s because each song present represents the vision succinctly. No skips, the album and story are meant to be consumed in full. Even with LMLYLAW, while it’s not my favorite song from her, it’s grown on me a lot, and it’ll serve as a gorgeous, glimmering break from the darkness/the deepness of Chemtrails

Her eye makeup and hair color look so good here Damn! Also love that she’s wearing turquoise beads, a small nod to the title track. I wonder if those stones will pop up again in her lyrics or imagery.

The windbreakers are cute (wish they weren’t cropped), but I can’t help but think that’s what the black sweatshirt should have looked like!! Hope there’s more on the way

Really excited for this collaboration! Lana sounds great, so soft and sweet. If the idea above proves to be true, that she’s reworking songs with some of the people who opened for her during NFR!, I really hope she works with Lucy Dacus (and Julia Jacklin) especially. Night Shift ft. Lana Del Rey Still couldn’t believe she had Lucy open for her, an official release between the two would be incredible.

Was just able to order a signed CD to the PNW, but it wouldn't let me combine with a cassette. Has to be purchased on it's own, at least for now. Happy to have an order in!

Had to order it. I CANNOT get anything else from this era
