It should be obligatory to quote this line when asking Lana to take your picture with her in the front row.

You know you're a Lana Del Rey fan when you can barely hear the music (like a radio that's on low volume and is in the next room to you) and you can hear a Lana song when it comes on, or sometimes even sense it (is that normal? Because that's the case with me sometimes).

It's one of the best moments of the ENTIRE ALBUM, tbh

I don't love it, but I don't hate it. It's just kind of...there. Shades of Cool was fantastic, as was West Coast, and I hope she'll do something big for Brooklyn Baby and Old Money. Maybe something Video Games-esque?

this song is reminds me of Boarding School in the way that it glamorises drug abuse. in both songs, Lana sings in a cheery, girlish voice that makes you forget the true nature of what she's singing about. it's only when you REALLY listen to the lyrics that you realise how wrong the song is.
the song works so well as the end of the deluxe imo cause most of the songs before it are all about how Lana is rejected and emotionally drained by her boyfriend's drug addiction, but with this song, it's kind of like she's succumbed to the addiction - she's no better than her pill-popping boyfriend now. Lana's so clever.

This song is fun and reminds me of "Hollywood" in how it glamourizes drug use and liberal fellowship.

As I listen to it, I easily hear TLC singing this song. It totally sounds like something T-Boz and the girls would have slayed years ago.

Let's be honest here its plotless. Its pretty for prettysakes and that's why I think loads of Lana fans are pissed. Not just BC there was no effort put in but you can see and feel how empty/hollow/shallow the music vid is. There's no charisma. No energy. No feeling. Its just four minutes of voidness...

Just watched. Fuck, it is utterly beautiful. Don't care what anyone thinks.
It has the vintage seventies feel, it is poetic and romantic. Lana is so sensual. Amazing!
She is dressed like a bride but seems to be mourning someone. And that smile at the chorus.... killing!

    (Yes, it is a tangerine.)

I have to find something positive about the video -
Clockwork Orange fans, actually get to see an orange.
And, feels like Lana is my bride, while watching it.
Though, on her real wedding day, after this video, it'll be low turnout.

This vid makes me worried that if I look through my window I'll see Lana gingerly creeping around my garden in a white dress and taking selfies next to my hydrangeas.

tbh anything "edition" would just look kinda cheesy. This bitch can be more creative.

It would probably be something in relation to Ultraviolence but not quite Ultraviolence.

Kind of how "Paradise" reflects Born To Die. Paradise could be said to be heaven; an aftermath of death. Heck, it's even in the lyrics of Paradise's music - "We made it out to the other side", Paradise being the "other side".

I love how natural and raw this period of Lana's music was. No elaborate production, just her pure talent and an acoustic guitar backing her up.

I checked, and I don't think there's a thread for this, so this one's for the May Jailer era music.

Sirens and the other albums need more appreciation.

I've cried during Dark Paradise and Video Games. When I first heard the remastered version of Black Beauty, I teared up. But Pawn Shop Blues and Hollywood both kind of have a melancholy feel to them.

OK, I have a confession to make.  I'm not sure if it should be here or in its own new topic, but here goes.

I watched the videos of Lana's Saturday Night Live performance from 2012.  I thought she did great!  She did seem a little nervous during the first part of Video Games, but that came through more in her actions and movements (or lack thereof) than in her voice.  I thought her voice was still strong, and she didn't hit any out-of-tune notes (as a musician with perfect pitch, I'd know!).  Then, for Blue Jeans, she seemed a little more "warmed up."  The word "burn" in the first verse came out a little strong -- maybe the mic was too close -- but other than that, I thought she performed quite admirably.  And the audience cheered for her.  I wish I knew where all the hate for this performance is coming from.
