Mess...so I came back to this album today with an open mind, not expecting grunge industrial sound (and no I'm not watching each and every Gaga interview where she told that album sounds NOTHING like singles) and I kinda like it even less than yesterday. I know well that I would never listen to Vanish Into You - How Bad section ever again if it wasn't Gaga. Just bored me to death. But I forced myself to like 70% of Tortured Poets so I'll try the same with Mayhem (didn't work for Cowboy Carter). But I start to notice a pattern that maybe I'm not into pop girls like I was before.

So I finished the album and guess what...Die With A Smile fits better on it than Disease and Abracadabra. I think I couldn't even enjoy half of the songs cause the whole era and build up was SO misleading. The album is funky and fun and that's good but not what I came for. Honestly not even sure anymore if I wanna see her on tour for this album.

Well, here goes my dark industrial album...so disappointed right now for one simple reason - singles sold to me a different album. Need to comeback to this with a fresh mind now that I know the direction of album. I guess this fun sound works better for spring, so I'm sure I'll like it in the end.

Oh...I was so bored. I hope that she at least likes what she's doing now, cause to me her music is just sad after III. Feels like trying to recreate what was good once but not evolving at all and getting less inspired. It's inoffensive but also not interesting in any way. I would rate this album 50/100. Not sure if I'm going to check her music from now on, kinda feels like a waste of time.

Well...at least Gaga is serving something good cause this girl ain't moving till August at best. I just have a feeling that she will post actual album cover and release date 1 or 2 weeks before this May 21st "release date" and we will forgive her as we always do.

The shitty takes in here...can't wait for The Right Person turn out to be a Nikki Lane collab album.

I will never understand why going back to the sound that your fans like and made you popular is a bad thing. I don't ever want to hear Adele's EDM album or Britney's Jazz album...like what are you all even talking about here? If this was her 7th album with the same sound that would be a problem (see Katy Perry) but she put this sound to rest for 12 years so I don't see how it's tiring or same old.

The way this is getting even better. This also may be one of the best choreography from her. I'm happy for monsters, maybe she will convert me to casual monster too with this era. They are actually getting their Ultraviolence 2.0 moment and while some have been acting like they are so above the old sound and past eras, we all know what our stan hearts actually want.

This circus. Beyonce winning AOTY for her worst album since Sasha Fierce is exactly what I expected from this garbage show.

Disease was something new while this feels like classic Gaga but at her strongest. I obviously like the industrial part the most but chorus is so pre-artpop that it makes me feel nostalgic in some way.

Idk, I feel like this is way too bloated just like Taylor's Poets, so some songs starting with Opening Night never got a chance to shine. Will come back to some songs after a month or so. Honestly looks like this album is the last chapter just for the symmetry of it making the second trilogy, cause I feel like the last time we saw The Weeknd character was After Hours and he died in that era. Dawn FM already felt different from everything previously released but the whole concept was about closing the chapter and entering something new, so perfect to put The Weeknd to the rest after it. But here we are 3 years later with an album that sounds 30% Dawn FM and 70% After Hours and brings almost nothing new to the table, yet it's branded as the final The Weeknd album. I'm a stan and I'm sure it's going to be one of my most listened albums this year but I'm not the biggest fan of the concept for this era.

The Abyss giving Don't Call Me Angel where the song is just whatever and then Lana's part is completely different way superior song.

Still listening to the album but after Open Hearts it starts to feel like After Hours 2.0 and I don't like that at all. I still think that After Hours is one of his blandest works. So slow and repetitive. It looks like I'll need to cut a lot of tracks to enjoy this album.

I like this more than Magdalene actually. Another amazing album. The only thing I wish there were 1 or 2 more hard hitting songs like Drums Of Death.

I love creepy Gaga, so can't wait for her full return. Die With A Smile is going to be a skip though.

RIP. Twin Peaks is so iconic. Let me try season 3 again though, cause it didn't work for me the first time I tried to watch it.

What a pretentious piece of nothing. That 15 min track is a joke. Honestly this would be cool if this was an irony about modern art like banana taped to the wall but knowing this girl, she takes herself very seriously. It works as a soundtrack for a movie and you all mention some videos but I only care about music. As an album it's 40/100. So yeah, just listen to Akira Yamaoka if you want some Silent Hill, his tracks are around 2 min long and you can actually hear the effort.

Another pre-release thread where I will mention Roses Bloom For You to remind you all what we lost. It's never coming, there's no hope. Just delusion.

Well, he can do no wrong for me. It's not my fave album from him, placing behind Honeybear and Chloe but still amazing. Whole album on repeat.
