Also, I know I'll be the only one but I'm growing a little tired of her hostility towards random accounts asserting that she grew up rich or privileged. The original post she commented on was indeed stupid, but if she feels that strongly about it maybe she should be candid about her childhood, because even the few times she's actually "addressed" it, she's still been very vague. I think she's not being honest with herself. There's nothing wrong growing up privileged (rich or not). She clearly had opportunities. Not just any of us were running around bumping shoulders with Lindsay Lohan as a pre-teen. I don't know why she feels the need for us to know she has suffered. I know her family situation was not ideal and she didn't feel love, but that's a completely different discussion IMO.

Yeah, Lana and Melanie fans have been in a weird feud since last year after Portals came out. I don't know where it stems from, but I assume it's just been a comparison because they're both two Alt. Pop artists who were prolific during the Tumblr era. Like, I've seen Melanie stans mock Lana stans with Portals sales, or Lana stans mock Melanie stans with Lana's Spotify streams, etc. I really wish it would stop because it's embarrassing on our end to be hating on any artist, let alone someone like Melanie who does their own thing entirely and is in a different lane than Lana is. I've had the same issue with Lana stans during the whole Taylor debacle at the Grammys - some people infantilize Lana way too much.

Listen, I love everything Lana does. I’m just saying what I would like. A Country/Trap infused album is highly likely, and I’ll support regardless. On another note. I’m so over people discussing Lana’s weight. It’s really annoying and people need to grow up. It’s really nobody’s business. (Did not mean for the second half to be apart of this post)

I don't really love the idea of a Country/Trap hybrid sound for an album - I hope it's just a one-off single with Quavo. I'd love if she just did pure Country and left the Trap stuff out, or just do a full Trap/Trippy type of sound in the vein of Peppers and Taco Truck. I appreciate all of the tracks on Tunnel but I think those two trappy songs at the end kind of took away from the overarching narrative of the album, or at least bloated it a bit. I want something completely cohesive this time around, not something chaotic like Lust For Life (which we love, but was all over the place). And I know people are so eager for her, but I'm fine to wait a little bit longer until she starts the rollout for this one. Tunnel still feels so recent. She can honestly push this back to 2025 imo.

Wow. The Guardian dragged her. Honestly, she isn't the strongest live performer, and the setlist should have been geared more towards the well known BTD/UV/HM/LFL cuts with some NFR and DYK sprinkled in, popular unreleased too. We needed BTD singles + Radio, maybe Lolita and Without You, UV singles + Brooklyn Baby, HBTB, Freak, MTWBT, Love, Coachella, Cherry, then NFR, VB....cut to DYK with P,T, maybe Grandfather and A&W too. She could have thrown more iconic unreleased in there like QoD, Serial Killer, MMITPM, and so on.....set list should have been very local and condensed for the GP. s Sigh. She will never live SNL down. Oh Lanita.......

How come everyone else always owns the rights to anything she does? Like….. Also I haven’t read the last few pages here but I saw them cutting up on Sky for being booted off stage and not giving a fuck. Classic! I wonder why she even bothers doing shows tbh. I can’t take her seriously as a live performer so I always gloss over that discourse in here but it’s sad for the people who actually pay $ to see her and get all excited only for them to get the bare minimum. Please stop spending $ on this woman until she releases the anniversary NTMT vinyls sis.

It's iconic and some of the best reality TV ever. I still watch it sometimes. It definitely has its share of problems and dated narratives, but that is mostly a reflection of where society was at the time. So with that in mind, and not taking the show so seriously, it's still enjoyable. And I do think the show had impact on shedding light on different types of beauty than what some people were used to. Tyra casted girls from all walks of life, racially and culturally, even casting girls with disabilities and transgender models.

How though, sister? She has so many good unreleased songs, from pre-frame, 2010 pop diva era, and beyond. Realistically she's not going to satisfy everyone. I know that isn't the point either and she can only choose qualitea songs that are more recent like the Fine Chinas, Your Girls, and so on but what about the Break My Fall and BBM Baby lovers (me....) I would be totally fine if she continues to let her leaked discography stay underground. AT LEAST until we get AKA on streaming.

And I would be one of them......CWIMM is one of my favorite songs on LFL still to this day. CWIMM defenders rise up!

I actually like it. It's pretty fun for a collector's edition. But I understand why people are not liking it, but I do.

Omanko the worst? Girl that's embarrassing to post Truth is, there's no bad song on NTMT. Kristine & I Will are excellent. The only song that gives me a pause when I listen to the album in order is Heavy Metal Heart....I think because of the way it is sung or something, but it's a little off-putting to me. Still a good song though. NTMT is a skipless grunge pop masterpiece. No one else could've done that.

Like I know we hate her but Boys to You’re Not The One is literally skip-less grunge pop excellence, and the later tracks are just as good especially Love In Stereo & title track. She was THAT girl. It’s a shame and a FAILURE with the talent management team that allowed this girl fall into a hole

Songs like 1949, Girl That Got Away, Every Man Gets His Wish, Puppy Love, etc scream coquette girlie to me. I definitely think she fits into the idea of that aesthetic. I mean she has a whole song called Lolita, it’s not that far of a stretch.

I wonder what she will be writing about this era. Lana’s always been emotional with her writing but I feel like COCC, BB, and DYK were all very vulnerable and revealing albums for her. I wonder where she will go from DYK especially since it’s probably her most transparent and straightforward work to date, in the sense that you don’t have to read between the lines too much, she is telling you exactly what is going on. I wonder if that will continue or we will get more beautiful classic sounding songs like TMHCR. Either way I am so excited for Lasso

This is a pretty cool fact. I remember in 2015 for a Billboard interview she was talking about writing scripts? Or something like that about a lady & high walls haha. It would have been wild if she actually played Sharon in a biopic back then.
