  1. Me too. I feel like this song will be the kind of song you play all the time, you play at the gym, you play in the car with your friends, and you just overplay it
  2. If this was Lana's first single off of Lasso, it would be her biggest first single since Love. Meaning Billboard charting, and MV raking up 100M+ views. This could be huge.
  3. New logo where? what is this?
  4. Yeah, her best beats in a decade.
  5. It's so Lasso coded. You know, maybe it's meant to be a one-off, a collab unrelated to any album. But Lana will pull a Doin' Time and add it to Lasso. Maybe that's why she said "I don't know where the album is going". She decided to put a little spring in Lasso's step.
  6. Honestly? It's so catchy, it deserves to be her biggest hit in a long time.
  7. Genius has it listed as Quavo feat. Lana https://genius.com/Quavo-tough-lyrics Tough like the scuff on a pair of old leather boots Like the blue-collar, red dirt attitude Like a .38 made out of brass Tough like thе stuff in your grandpa's glass (Grandpa's glass) Life's gonna do what it does Sure as thе good Lord up above I'm cut like a diamond shinin' in the rough (Shinin', shinin')
  8. I'm actually with you on that. There's a lot to unpack in this song - I don't t hink it's a 3-minute cut. 4 minutes at least. Seems to go off the rails with that outro/bridge (snippet 1). But it seems like this is really coming in Boston. (the gig is tonight, no?) and we'll know everything tomorrow.
  9. I was just thinking about Summer Bummer and Groupie Love. Isn't it crazy how none of these charted at the time? It's like, you had Lana x Weeknd just before that single, you had Lana's new album that was #1 on Billobard, and then you have Lana feat ASAP Rocky and Playboi Carti, and then nothing. I fucking love that song, but it flopped big time. Tough sounds a lot more commercial. Like a not-so-distant cousin of Old Town Road. And you know what's funny? I fucking praid for Lasso to sound just like that. OH PLEAE GOD LET THIS BE A LASSO SINGLE, and not a random collab or Quavo featuring Lana Del Rey. I would sell my soul to the devil for this.
  10. For sure - that's the chorus. And snippet 1 is probably the bridge/outro. There's a lot going on in this 3 minute song. But the beat and the guitar and the lyrics and the melody and the ad libs are all so good!

What listening party? Whose listening party? Lana's? What the fuck did I miss? What listening party? Whose listening party? Lana's? What the fuck did I miss? What listening party? Whose listening party? Lana's? What the fuck did I miss?
  12. OMG these lyrics are so fucking good! Observation #1: this snippet is kinda different than the first one. I feel like the song will have a switch-up ala A&W. From the more melodic part (snippet 2) to more beats and rap (snippet 1). Tho snippet 1 could just be the bridge. Observation #2: this will be her biggest hit since Snow on the Beach and Say Yes To Heaven in terms of Billboard 100 and radio play. I predict spot 30-50 (higher than SYTH), maybe even higher. Observation #3: can we all just agree how fabulous it is that Lana is singing on this? After snippet 1, I was worried he's only doing background and ad-libs. Observation #4: this is the BOP some of us have been dying for. It's her most accessible song since, well, Snow on the Beach and probably Doin' Time before it. We all needed this. Observation #5: guess they finished editing the video, seems likely that it will drop this Friday or the Friday after that. Observation #6: sadly, seems more like a Quavo project at this point, or a one-off. That being said, the lyrics are giving major Lasso vibes. Like, lead Lasso single. I mean, a 38 made out of brass? Come on! Back to the Nancy Sinatra gangsta shit. <3 Observation #7: I'll be listening to this snippet on repeat till the single drops lmao
  13. The daily mail uk? Really? Surely we're not using this as a source. Not getting Lasso enough this year is depressing enough.
  14. For sure she has. Bela, the Weeknd, and loads of other celebs (including Finneas) are very pro-Palestine. Also, the genocide has been going on for 8 months now. So, Lana has come to her senses.
  15. Yeah funny how Sabrina's Please Please Please produced by Jack went straight to Billboard 2nd spot. (Even higher than Espresso 3rd spot peak.) Yet in 5+ years of working with Lana, Jack couldn't produce a *single* Billboard 100 chart entry for Lana as a solo artist. Not even a 99th spot. That's just crazy to me. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for Sabrina. I just wish Antonoff could bring some of that golden Producer of the Year Mida's touch to Lana's singles. So we don't have to wait for another Unreleased track produced by Rick to keep her in the charts.
  16. This makes a lot of sense. And I for one have always been advocating for the exact same thing. It's great that we got some poetry, singer-songwriter balladry, diaristic family journo-balladry, piano, etc. But after 3 albums (+ poetry book) without a single bona-fide hit, it's time to bring some pop back into pop artist. Country would do as much for her career as Chemtrails did, which is very little. And seems like Quavo definitely resurged some of those pop vibes. Maybe Lasso as we know it is R.I.P. But i get the sense that what ever it morphs into will be a lot more exciting.
  17. She's definitely not in the pre-album release phase, that much is clear. And, like you said, she dropped OB only last year. There's no need to be annoyed when we got 9 albums in a decade. LDR is super productive, and if she needs another year to finish it off, so be it. All that being said, I do hope we get that Quavo collab as a single to tie us over. We're used to being fed often, so this tumble-weed phase is bound to be upsetting for all. Especially since she DID announce a whole record. I feel like she owes us at least a single soon.
  18. Yeah, i too see a lot of drama and yet no video or source of anything.
  19. Certainly better than Blue Banisters (which is her blandest and most singer-songwriter album title to date). That being said, Rock Candy Sweet just wouldn't have worked as an album title since she gave the song containing those lyrics to Euphoria. Also, it sounds too rock-ish and overpromising for the boring drivel that BB ended up being. Sorry to BB fans.
  20. Right? I'm floored at the perfect pacing/structure. When I saw a 10-track playlist, I was worried. But damn did it work out well. Still my fav album of the year, alongside CC.
  21. I'm so over it. Signing off bang bang kiss kiss till sth happens
  22. Geat, now...I need you to repeat these words when you meet her: "Lana, we just need a date. What is it? First single when? Lasso when?"

To each their own. I'm confident in my taste.
  24. I'm feeling less and less excited. It may be that she's still working on the album and she's gonna wait to drop the single when it's all ready and out for pressing. So, might be another 2-6 months. Maybe August? Peak summer for a summer bop. I don't think it'll be June and my pom poms have definitely dropped to the floor.
