ok so my theory rn is that christina is in some sort of loop. this makes sense because the people she walked by in the city in both episode 1 and 2 are the same, and the screen that popped up on her bosses computer when they were on the phone had statistics like "continuity: on" showing for her. i'm conflicted over what kind of loop it could be though. in episode one guys passing by her said "i can't believe you've never been here before" similarly to the visitors in season 1. on the other hand though i think this could be a sort of "park" where the goal is for the hosts to become sentient. and maybe the "guests" are just humans controlled by charlotte's flies? this theory assumes that there's a time jump between charlotte/william's storyline and christina's. it also doesn't account for how christina seems to be writing people into the story unless each host had their own simulated park? which wouldn't really make sense i also have no idea how teddy plays into it at all, and how he obviously knows he wants to protect christina which means he has some sort of memory of dolores also i was wondering if maybe dolores getting deleted by rehoboam just means that she was like sucked into it, and that she somehow has some of its powers now in that she can literally write the lives of people in her world/loop/simulation? ALSO maeve and caleb's storyline? maybe they are in a timeline ahead of william/charlotte's like dolores (christina)? and he bought all that land and succeeded in making his (charlotte's) park? not sure why (seemingly) human's would be able to go there though unless it's a plan to replace them with hosts? which makes no sense bc it seems like a huge waste of money and time and there would be much better ways for charlotte to do that. i also have no idea about who led them (maeve and caleb) there and what they're meant to do there. tbh i truly have no idea where this season could go and i love it so far, it feels like season 1 westworld is back

Supreme Court overturns constitutional right to abortion
fl0r1dakil0s replied to baddisease's topic in World News
oh yeah this is true. all the recent additions to the court besides amy comey barrett said roe v wade is fairly settled and they would likely not be overturning it. barrett did say in her hearing that she would not consider roe a "super precedent" (one very unlikely to be overturned) -
Supreme Court overturns constitutional right to abortion
fl0r1dakil0s replied to baddisease's topic in World News
i think you're a little confused on how the supreme court works - the supreme court never swears not to overturn any sort of precedent. lots of bad precedents have been overturned in the past. you are right that it is against the will of the majority of the population, but the supreme court isn't concerned with the population, they're concerned with the constitution. their job is to analyze and interpret the constitution in order to determine what it protects and which rights it guarantees to all americans. by overturning roe v wade, the ruling in which they determined abortion is protected by the constitution, they have made it so abortion is not protected by the constitution. since the constitution binds the entire United States to the amendments, abortion not being protected federally under the constitution means that it is now up to the individual states. while i vehemently disagree with abortion not being protected federally, it is not really explicit in the constitution, which is why im not surprised that it was overturned by an overwhelmingly conservative supreme court. for so many years the United States has missed chances to codify roe into law and it's really unfortunate that we took it for granted. i wish a constitutional amendment could be proposed but it would never pass because it needs either two thirds of both houses of congress to approve it or 2/3 of the states in america requesting it. while the majority of people in america support abortion, it isn't that simple because we are a republic and not a direct democracy. each state has their own say on the matter according to how our republic is set up, and just because the majority of people live in the larger blue states, our democracy is set up in a way that each state is equally considered in matters like this. anyways imo abortion not being federally protected is very fucked up but honestly not surprising -
