I know. She reminds me of Madison Beer's mom, the type of mom that isn't exactly a stage mom but would willingly argue with haters and live though their daughters.
-
Do you seriously belive that Sky's mom made a mistake? She tagged Sky in the story so if Sky knew it wasn't true she would've told her to delete, unless she hadn't opened her IG in two days. No, it's another reason to postpone the release date, but this time it's less embarrassing to blame Sky's mom for the wrong date. Sky better hurry up cause Gen Z are discovering Tumblr culture and also while synth pop is still trendy.

Rue should really stay single until she's in a better place. I feel like she isn't even attracted to Jules but thought she was because they're so close emotionally. It's like those co-dependent relationships where people get together to heal each other. Zendaya and Hunter have zero chemistry. Why is not liking a trans character transphobic? Unless they're literally saying transphobic stuff then it's wrong. I don't like Jules personality since the beginning but I have nothing against Hunter and transgenderism. I'm not even a big fan of Rue but I love Zendaya. Rue is such a monotone and a boring character in season 2. You're a drug addict? Okay, we get it, gives us something new? I always get so bored when they appear on the screen. The only time she was interesting is when she had withdrawals and was banging on the Fez's door.

Tiktok introduced me to this song but also did it dirty with cringe edits and high pitching the song making it sound like a generic trap song. When I heard the original version I immediately got hooked.
-
I kinda grew out of their music but it's still in my heart . I will definitely buy a vinyl of Wiped Out to honor my high school years. I listened a couple of songs from the 2020 album if that's what you meant, and I haven't been wowed by any song so I kept procrastinating of listening the the rest.
-
I have such bittersweet memories with that song. You Make Me So High has a similar vibe so give it a listen. I was obsessed with them in 2016-17 and had listened everything they put out.

I had no idea why they suddenly got mad at Rue for drinking in the car. It's like getting McDonald's and being mad that someone started eating in the car. Your theory about Cal makes sense. When he admitted everything Marsha didn't seem surprised at all, she looked more like it was something she was fearing that one day it'll happen. Maybe she wasn't trying to trap him with a baby but rather heard rumors during the 25 years of their marriage. Tbh I had no simpathy for him, he was acting like a lunatic. There's no excuse for pissing in the foyer and flashing to his kids. Why even stay married for so long if you're gay af? My gay friend supports straight marriages for the sake of hiding sexuality so here's Carl's target audience.
-
They're the most interesting characters this season. I swear I yawn at everyone else's storyline. The part where Cal came out to his family made me almost late for a dentist appointment. I was so weirded out by that. Wasn't she the confident big queen wearing Dollskill and sucking dick to random strangers? Her dominatrix storyline was FUCKED UP but so interesting. I was so looking forward to her character. Why does she suddenly hates herself for no reason? The show provides zero reason for her insecurity. Btw, her frustration in the relationship reminds me of my friend with a slutty past who felt extremely weird in a relationship and wanted to break up for no reason in the first six months. So that part is realistic.

Tell me you're an American without telling me you're an American. I've traveled to multiple European countries and nowhere was hip hop a party staple. You're just taught to think like that. Damn, that's really realistic and same where I live. People who live in apartments can easily afford to renovate and be fashionable but when it comes to houses you can tell in which decade was built because rarely anyone can afford to renovate the exterior or they don't give a shit. The dated homes are kinda cosy and give character in my opinion, it fits the show so well. I feel like it would been too bland if everyone had the modern white + light/dark wood aesthetic.
-
Are the characters supposed to be on the poor side except Nate? The houses are so old school like it's from late 20th century. Or it's how the majority of American houses look like but the wealthier are usually represented? Or it's just the aesthetic like Riverdale where characters casually drove 60s cars in the late 2010s?

- as far as i remember the only homemade Honeymoon video is for the title track itself that never got released - Lana's entire existence is Americana, it's not exclusive to a couple of albums - the romanticizing of old Hollywood is the most iconic to BTD, I think she continued this up until HM - I'm into 70s music and I don't see a huge resemblance. It has a timeless sound. - I'm not going to act like I'm an expert in analyzing but I don't see Honeymoon being more personal in terms of songwriting. It's still my fave album besides UV. In my opinion it's a more grown up version of BTD. It has the exact same tropes, even the color pallette of the artwork is the same, but it's less angsty and wild.

Unless it's meant for body checking or promoting any type of ED and self harm, done by a minor or in a pornographic nature on a non porn site then you do you...

Those are probably teens. When someone's age is far from yours you have a feeling it's old. I've also seen the same kind of looking down upon towards young mothers. How dare Kylie Jenner have fun in her early 20s for a couple of days while her toddler is at her grandma's! She should've stayed at home and never go out until the child is 18! Actually... then she will be an old hag at 38-40, so don't have fun regardless!
-
I don't like her newer sexy photos but I won't judge her. It's so harmless and it's on her private account. Tbh, she was never modest and covered up. Maybe you see it differently now since it's all selfies and that people expect heavier women or women in their 30s like her to cover up. Maybe it's because it contradicts her modest era of the last couple of albums.
-
Why not? Where are her copies usually sold that ships to Europe for a reasonable price? Many American artists have normal prices but the shipping is usually 30$.
-
Where to even get her copies, literally anything? Ebay is empty and all ai find are asseholes reselling the albums for a dozen. I'm in love with Kicker but I gave up on the idea of getting it a long time ago. Btw I discovered Golden yesterday and I feel that it will be in top 5 of my most listened songs. I absolutely love everything about that song. It's radiates with such positive energy that it makes me want to go on a filed trip or dance.
-
I also don't like that she chooses the most basic outfits for performances as if she got them at C& A or Macy's for Americans. She really needs to spice up her wardrobe. I know this will never happen but I imagined the best scenario for her performances. Imagine her songs being a slightly faster version live and her hiring a rock band that isn't famous but is similar to AM? That would've been perfect. If an artist is a good performer dancers aren't needed.

Better than the original Change my mind

My story how I found out about Lana was a little embarrassing. I was 12-13ish. I was into childish music, flashy, over the top, kinda normal for my age. Nicki Minaj - Pink Friday and Selena Gomez - Stars Dance was my religion. I firstly found out about Blue Jeans when a contestant of a singing competition was singing the song. I hated Lana's voice at first because I thought it wad very nasaly . Soon after I feel in love with the song. I didn't like VG tho, neither am I a big fan of it today. As for BTD, Young and Beautiful and Summertime Sadness. I listened to REMIXES of them . The original versions were too "boring" for my pop fanatic, trap, dubstep, house music taste. I always loved her aesthetic, always always. I remember every "cool" 12-16 year old on Facebook would have Lana's edgy tumblr pics as a cover photo or posted regularly along with GG quotes. I was like "God, I want to look like that when I grow up". Fast forward, people tell my that my style and energy reminds them of Lana in UV era . When West Coast was released I came to my senses and realized that my music taste was trash.
-
I was thinking of getting BTD for months but I couldn't decide which album to get out of my top 3 atm with a budget od 20€. If those Brits on Ebay had cheap international shipping I would be able to get at least two for 20€. I decided to wait for the anniversary to at least grab a non existing anniversary editions. It's so disappointing that she didn't do anything to mark the anniversary of an album that changed her life and made her dream come true. Seems lazy and unthankful ... Hopefully she gets her ass to some music festival in Hungary since I have zero expectations of her going more south so I can have her sign albums that I would have bought by that time lmao.

The era is so timeless it feels a couple of years old while it was released during the europop craze, Rihanna, Gaga, Keisha and Katy being the queens of pop, when Black Eyes Peas, David Guetta and Pitbull were THE party artists.
-
Jesus, and there's me who idealized American parties until a couple of years ago. You guys are still lucky to be able to have parties in big houses where people can crash, at least that's what I learned from American media. Houses are smaller in Europe so we can accept only friends and friends of friends.
-
I'm on S2 E1, is it true that Americas mostly play hip hop and R&B at parties? If true, must be boring af... same kind of music the entire time and hip hop usually isn't even that catchy except for classics.
-
The way she probably wanted QFTC to be almost as harmless as this 7/11 story given by the typewriter aesthetic but it backfired horribly. Omg Lana we're the same for the instant chocolate coffee from the corner store except I did it last time in... highschool Btw praying for her to do shit for the BTD anniversary...

Sky Ferreira Masochism coffee table book the girls that get it, get it I can easily call it as one of my fave songs of all time. I remember how I feel in love immediately as soon as I heard the chorus. It beats the original song every time. It shows how much sky cares about details and how her talent is wasted.
