Why is everyone sleeping that Summertime cover? I love everything about it and wish BB had a similar vibe. Her higher register is so beautiful there and it suits her.
-
It's a bug. I had it too. I just exited to the explore page and searched the account again and I had access again. I never had the same problem with other big private accounts.
-
I don't like her higher register. It sounds good but I'm not wowed. It's just not Lana if you know what I mean. I wish she made a pure old school lower register jazz album like Lady Gaga did. I also hope she makes a darker classic Lana song for Euphoria since it contains themes of her older music.

Just followed @honeymoon on IG Hopefully she privates it again so I can feel special I swear if she doesn't release a 10th anniversary BTD edition

I follow r/vinyl and I found out that the majority of collectors are millennial male metalheads. They buy records including the limited ones like they're handed out for free. In 90% of case I've never heard of the bands. If they spent more on their appearance they probably wouldn't be able to afford a 300$ record shopping spree Okay that was mean but true

Okay, I actually get what you meant lmao. When you said "irrelevant" I thought you meant alternative artists like Men I Trust or something. I've seen no-name artists that don't even have half a million views on YouTube that have an aesthetic splatter record. In many stores half of the of records are from no-names, like what? Who would even buy that? Buying vinyl is still extremely rare and a luxury. I also don't understand people buying random records for the sake of the eXpErIeNcE. It's just consumerism with an excuse. I see it like buying random clothing you didn't even try on or don't even like and awkwardly wearing it.

I will never realize why it isn't based in college. Why are Americans so obsessed with putting adult actors with adult themes in high school? It's pretty sick. As someone coming from a smaller town and went to college in the capital, people especially go wild in college. Usually rebellious frustrated kids with strict parents become like Cassie, Nate and Ru. It's much more rare to see freshmans toning down.

Is anybody watching that Good Morning America interview? It's embarrassing. The fact that it's filmed in Lou M Taylor's house . The only thing that's believable is that she most likely didn't have a say if Britney is going to be in a conservatorship, she was 17 after all. Many people have no idea that a conservatorship exists before this. However, she didn't seem against it when she spent her money on plane tickets and possibly everything else. If the family wanted her money, what's hard about being a good parent/sibling? As for her book, I feel like the majority of sales will be by curious people. I feel like the book is going to be flexing about her 'fame', self-pity because she's a teen mom woe is me, and talking about Britney when she runs out of ideas. Also the WARDROBE. Jamie Lynn is going for the white clothes=innocent trick used in the court. She's the walking 'Live Laugh Love' that only belongs in Hallmark movies so that chic business casual is hilariously out of place. The blazer doesn't fit her at all probably because of her short neck and it looked like she stole a tuxedo from her husband. Edit: It wasn't the neck that made the blazer awful, it was the shoulder pads being too high. Sis was stealing Brit's money for 13 years and couldn't buy a decent blazer. Edit2: I just reread this hours later and for some reason it sounds like screaming a drunk rant lmao, especially the wardrobe paragraph.

I'm completely hooked on Wait a Minute. It has such a nostalgic sound that reminds me of early to mid 2010s indie music. Then I found out it was recorded in 2015 which makes sense. Reminds me of late middle school/early high school hangouts in apartment complexes, drinking cheap beer or wine, vibrant color lipsticks, shitty contour and shitty wing liners, wannabe tumblr girl outfits
-
Omg sis me too. I was surprised but at the same time that was my go-to song whenever I want to transition from pop to rock/metal or vise versa when listening to music. It also says that I was the first 2% of people who started streaming Paranoia EP, probably because I was replaying Knife Under My Pillow and waited for the EP, but I didn't like it at first and came back months later and loved it.

Lana has a feminine urge to chose prettier pictures as gatefold/booklet/exclusive while choosing the more basic ones for THE cover art. She did UV, BTD, NFR and COCC dirty for the cover photos although they're still iconic. Maybe she was going more for the simplicity and being recognizable than for the aesthetics. I still can't get over how she didn't use this or this as the official cover.

If an artist has high demand I don't see the problem with having large amount of pressings and multiple versions. Lana and indie Tumblr age music is probably responsible for the vinyl comeback among young people. As someone who lives in a country where buying brand new records is a luxury with a few expensive record stores, it's easier for me to find good deals or search for options online because Lana and other musicians have expensive shipping (usually 30$). If you meant that every random artist and their dog are pressing vinyl records nowadays it's soo true and kinda annoying. I've literally seen Kindz Bop and Shrek having records. I don't want to sound like a snobbish hipster but it's so cringeworthy when I see the most random music in a vintage form such as vinyl.

Lmao she's been teasing a new release for 5+ years. Omg multiple festivals? The bare minimum you say? We should all be super grateful. Her only legit career is to be a singer, she should be grateful that she still have such patient fans and gets discovered by new fans. She should be grateful if people don't forget to stream and buy her new music after nine years since the last album. She's not giving anyone anything, she's selling her music and making money off festivals. It's funny and naive how stans fell like an artist is giving them a gift by releasing music when it's literally their job to do that. It's like thinking that Rihanna is giving them makeup through testers/samples at Sephora.

That's why I prefer vinyl records as a form of merch. The designs on the majority of merch are just lazy af + not worth the price. I literally see better fake merch on Aliexpress, the prices are reasonable and the designs are better. Am I the only one that looooooves the 'Asianfishing' look? Yeah, her eyes are kinda weird from plastic surgery but I love the direction of her style, literally my Pinterest board. It's kinda ironic how kpop stans completely ignore the blatant whitewashing from Korean influencers and idols or make dumb excuses but loose their mid over Ariana kinda looking Asian. She doesn't even look very Asian, she just fits into east Asia's eurocentric beauty standard.

Submitted my votes, my dumbass had no idea I was supposed to vote, I thought we were chosen already, not nominated. Without spoiling @TrashMagiq @YourGirl666 @lanasbottom @DeluluKing you got my votes for some categories

Deezer started these end of year stats in 2020 so I had no idea who my top artist was before that, probably some metal or grunge band. Lana was the second place over Joy Division last year. You can imagine how depressing last year might have been 🙄. If Sky wasn't a dumb bitch and released Voices Carry on streaming services she would've definitely made top 5 only because of that song.

Biggest Lana hater , huh? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

A lil shower thought ... I can't get over how how I wasn't staning every single era of hers until a couple of years after, and had taken her best eras for granted. I really don't deserve to be on this forum . The only time I was immediately streaming her new releases without procrastinating were Ultraviolence singles. I waited years after Honeymoon and Lust For Life were released to give them a listen. I was simply into different music. Also, I think it was because the majority of mainstream artists at that time (early to mid 2010s) weren't album oriented. Their singles were the focal point of the era and the albums were mostly filler songs for mega fans only. I thought that applied for Lana too. Since the rise of vinyl hoes in late 2010s I noticed people appreciating albums more and artists putting more effort into albums rather than having filler songs. I appreciate that a lot.

I was so surprised for this reference. It wasn't a good joke tbh nor it was understandable for people outside of Balkan. For context, she bears a striking resemblance to a Yugoslavian folk singer from Bosnia. Actually, it's her music, just her style. It's a wholesome joke here, Miley is probably the only mainstream star who can successfully pull off "tacky" 80s fashion.
-
Definitely. I can't imagine Lana being being an energetic ultra charismatic performer. Sky's music style kinda fits to a 90s grunge front woman stage presence, so kinda a half energetic half crackhead vibe. She still needs a new album because fixing her stage presence won't change anything atm.
-
Not mention the mediocre stage presence (I'm being generous). It would've been boring if she went like Doja Cat and every other pop girl but a semi rockstar performance would've been enough. She just walks around slowly like she has barely any experience.
-
Lmao the album title could've been Live Laugh Love album art: Something like this only with Lana in early 2020.
-
I respect her so much and it pisses me off that Gen Z have no idea that she changed female pop stars forever. On the other hand, her behavior nowadays is embarrassing. It's like she matures backwards. She's embarrassing herself constantly with flashing her ass, bbl, excessive plastic surgery, a boyfriend in his 20s, that pink wig moment, that quarantine bathroom performance etc. She should've retired after Rebel Heart with grace.

Her photoshoot where she recreated dead Marlyn Monroe's picture was disgusting. Such an empowering thing to do, Madonna. Americans can never stop romanticizing someone's tragedy because it was a beautiful woman in question. Same energy like The Most Beautiful Suicide. When was the last time someone recreated Kurt Cobain's suicide? Never? Oh, okay.
-
Mehh I only like Criminal. Her newest album is weird af, it gives me weird hippy stoner mom vibes.
