  1. It's not her best songs I replay over and over again, it's more the "average" ones. So streaming numbers can be misleading sometimes.

  4. Not Ben quotes NME magazine, which has misspelled her as Lana Del Ray for the thousandth time https://web.archive.org/web/20221228043137/https://www.nme.com/news/music/courtney-love-says-kurt-cobain-and-lana-del-ray-are-the-only-true-musical-geniuses-shes-ever-known-3372057
  5. first thing I read was Sky Ferreira fans plan protest at The Capitol
  6. Let's look at the first single in a different context: what if her (fictional) role on this album is a whore? The artwork and a song title give clues to that, of course. Thus, in this song she is waiting for her punter, who has several affairs. "When it's gonna be my turn?" and "fuck me to death" now have a different meaning and make more sense. Maybe this tunnel is a place where she used to meet her punter, but he hasn't visited it for a long time?
  7. It depends on whether they skillfully develop their style further or whether they frantically cling to old recipes that once led them to success but have long since ceased to have any effect. Fortunately, Lana is experimental and resourceful enough and we don't have to worry here. With many artists, it's already over after two or three albums.
  8. I remember her saying once (I think in a live chat) that it was good that her fans had a forum to share their thoughts, or something like that.
  9. Isn't it far worse when a former great artist in their 40s or 50s tries to pretend they're still in their 20s? I think it's quite normal for musicians to find a more mature style as they get older.
  10. Bartender always sounds so familiar and reminds me of something, maybe a song I heard in the 90s, but I never figured out which one it was.
  11. Wasn't it Lana's uncle who taught her to play the guitar and to "write a million songs with just six chords"?
  12. I think Jack only did the production, lyrics and melodies are always Lana's thing
  13. Kurt Cobain is one of Lana's great idols, so this comparison is the best compliment someone can give her
  14. Courtney praises Lana to the skies and all you guys notice is this Joni Mitchell thing?
  15. somewhere I read that Lana's label was not satisfied with the first version of the third album, so they changed the concept and made Ultraviolence
  16. also according to my calculations, which are based on tunebat
  17. I think wooden also means they were without emotion
  18. @111 and @Wait For Life ready for leaker fight , but we want to see results
  19. Is it actually verified that she was with Mike Hermosa? We saw them together a few times after Blue Banisters, especially on the Polaroids of Paul Salem, but maybe they just worked together for the album all the time. As far as I remember, she never officially confirmed this relationship.
  20. when it was only a trend because someone made a funny meme of it
  21. I don't think it's a boring song, it just needs the right idea of production. Just listen to the cover version of Christi Buckley!
