I agree that Lana is currently one of the most streamed artists overall. Her albums and songs have a longer lasting success. But look at Olivia Rodrigo's new single, for example, which was released yesterday and has almost 10 million daily streams on Spotify. No single from Ocean Blvd has ever come close to that.

idk, her last solo high-charting song was SYTH and it's not from the album. Apart from that Ocean Blvd sold well and streaming numbers aren't bad, but you forgot pop artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eillish, Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez or Ariana Grande , who seem to be in a different league with their last albums. Lana also profits a lot from her first albums and famous collabs with The Weekend and Taylor. If you take alone her last three albums, she would fall much more behind. Lana is a good alternative music artist but not really mainstream or radio pop. Nevertheless, she has a big global fan community.

France is in an exceptional situation because of the riots, maybe Lana should rather cancel the concert

TikTokers have always been a strange species, I just remember the Lana Del Rey cult or the many random (also unreleased) songs that were turned into hits (currently Radio). It's just a crazy bunch, always chasing the latest random trends.

Cassette (age of 10 or 11): Blues Brothers Soundtrack (found it in a trash can) The KLF – 3: A.M. Eternal (Live At The S.S.L.) (my best friend was a total fan of KLF) U96 - Das Boot album CD (age of 12): Maxi Dance Sensation, Volume 2 (got this with the first CD player from my father) Dr. Alban - One Love – The Album (first CD I bought for myself) I remember that I recorded a lot of music on cassette from radio at this time around 2000 I had also a mini disc player, but only with self recorded music -

I always thought punctuality was only an annoying thing in my country (GER). I guess people in Southern Europe can only laugh about it. I once had a Greek boss who was late even to his own meetings. He was the coolest boss ever because he didn't care if other people were late either. -
Lana's strongest feature (Released & Unreleased)
bluechemtrails replied to Strangelove's topic in Lana Thoughts
she rarely has weak features except when she's just humming in the background, but lately I've been liking Hollywood Bowl -

I think there was a conflict between Lana and the promoters, maybe she delayed the show on purpose? Strange that the delay was exactly half an hour. And strange also that the organizers were so harsh, it seems a bit like a power play between them. We don't know what all happened in the background. -
message from behind the grave mirror , that's kind of creepy

they should feel honored, it is possibly the reason why especially many young people visited the festival. even though there were many other strong bands, she was obviously one of the main attractions -
difficult question , I would choose a song that best reflects her ideas and style, maybe Born To Die

the 'work' of an artist needs a lot of creativity and inspiration. this was a one-time performance in front of thousands of people and not a normal routine. Yes, it was her job to deliver a show and that's what she did in the end, but even office or retail workers can have their human reasons being late. There could have been a thousand reasons why the on-time performance didn't work out, since she works with a large team and any number of things can go wrong. I would have had understanding for it as a visitor in any case. -

I think she does a lot more for the money (which she doesn't really need) and tries to deliver really good shows. This delay was probably not intentional and she may have expected to be allowed to overrun. -

I don't like the idea that artists should just do their job. An artist is an artist, give them all the time and freedom they need. The problem here is the strict schedule and rules of the festival. It should be more relaxed and with more buffers.
