maybe all works from Sylvia Plath, because she inspired her for hope is a dangerous thing

2021 Year In Review: Your Spotify/Apple Music
bluechemtrails replied to American Whore's topic in Music
I only have the song list, because my smartphone is too old and the Spotify version doesn't support the whole thing properly. 1. Arcadia 2. Let Me Love You Like A Woman 3. Text Book 4. White Mustang (?) 5. Mariners Apartment Complex 6. Lilies (Ethel Cain) 7. Shine Ibiza Anthem 2019 (Paul van Dyk) 8. Anahera - Extended Mix (Ferry Corsten, Gouryella) 9. Blue Banisters 10. Casings (Ethel Cain) -
In her last songs she wanted to tell her own story. I like that because I'm very interested in it, but for others it could be misunderstood as selfish because it seems like she finds her life more important than others'. It's also harder to identify with the songs because you have to put yourself specifically into her life story.

Arcadia deserves so much better - it's the bright star shining over this album. -
I tried a new song order, from least to most popular (on spotify), and now I like the album even better. For Free and Breaking Up Slowly are actually not such bad songs, and having my three favorites (already heard many times) at the end provides some anticipation. For Free Dance Till We Die Not All Who Wander Are Lost Breaking Up Slowly Yosemite Wild At Heart Dark But Just A Game Tulsa Jesus Freak White Dress Let Me Love You Like a Woman Chemtrails Over The Country Club https://open.spotify.com/playlist/56o9e0dDQhvanJzoiINTx8?si=44cf59c56a6b4529

Almost all albums (in general) have the wrong song order. The less popular songs should be played first and the most popular at the end. That way you have a progression and know, even if you don't like a song, that there could be better ones. Otherwise, you listen to the most popular songs first, and the motivation to finish listening to the album decreases with each successive song.

"American Standards & Classics" Cover Album - Pre-Pre-Release Thread

Could it be that we are still underestimating this project quite a bit? I have the feeling that it could become a really big thing. Considering how recently Lady Gaga hit with Tony Bennett and now this album full of well-known classics sung by a wonderful voice. This could be a big seller, eclipsing her last few albums and maybe picking up some major music awards along the way. -

critics about BB with 15 songs: Ugh! Too many songs and some are recycled. Nothing much new. critics about re-recorded Red (Taylor's Version) from 2012 with 30 songs: What a pleasure!
