Obviously this is not an unpopular opinion on here, but I am seriously getting tired of these 14 year old gays on TikTok begging Lana to bring back her sugar daddy and “lolita” type songs. Do y’all seriously want her to be making the same songs for a whole decade? She is 36 years old

She is definitely a good singer and very talented, but her and Lana would not work. So I will have to pass as well. Honestly, not the biggest fan of most collabs. Sometimes they’re good and sometimes you can tell they were forced by labels.

I know a lot of people here seem to hate Jack, but I would be lying if I said the production on Venice Bitch wasn’t heavenly. The whole song is a trip. I wish so badly I could experience this amazing 9 minutes for the first time again. I hope Lana makes more longer psychedelic songs in the future.

Omg the Britney vibes with (The Dreaming Mix) Love the Rough Love album. I’ve always kinda wished Melanie released some type of personal album in 2014 with all the outtakes that didn’t relate to Cry Baby. It would’ve given us a look into Melanie first before jumping into the story.

I would love a whole dark blue album. I feel like some of the songs on BB give off dark blue vibes (of course), especially the chorus of BB. A yellow sounding album would be cool too. A whole album full of yellow songs like Doin' Time would have to be her magnum opus. The name Del Norte County kind of gives me a summer yellow/sunset orange.

My favorite song this year was probably Text Book or Happier Than Ever by Billie Eilish. Both are so great it would be hard for me to just choose one. Text Book is such a beautiful opener. When it was released as a single, I would’ve never expected it to work as well as it does for the opening track. The production slowly building up throughout the song makes it impossible to be bored. It’s truly a masterpiece. Happier Than Ever is just a mf bop. We want rock Billie. Edit: Now that I’m thinking about it, I’m adding all of BB and most of COCC to my top song this year. I love all of them I cannot choose just a few

The Beautiful People demo never fails to make me cry. I understand she didn’t want this album to be super depressing, but God this version is absolutely amazing and heartbreaking. Really convinced it might be one of her saddest songs ever. I adore this album so much. From the unreleased songs, to the demos, to the released songs, to the photo shoots, to the whole vibe and aesthetic. The only thing that could make it better is adding If I Die Young and Best American Record. Listening to the title track just fills me with bliss. It’s like that short rush you get whenever you make the decision to make a positive change in your life and being prepared for a happier beginning. It’s been almost 5 years but it still feels like I was replaying those White Mustang snippets just yesterday Yes, it’s midnight and I’m sitting awake on my phone typing a book about how much I love an album. So what?

Wow, they’re really taking people’s money and not offering refunds unless you ask for one yourself and even then they won’t give you a full one? Damn. Everything merch related this era has been a mess. I think every store thought there would be more stock of items than there was which ended to overselling then a bunch of cancelling.

Speculating is really fun and the best part of a pre-album release. I love how quickly she gives us hints after each album so we always have something to theorize about and be excited for!

Wow, I just opened this thread to see her grandma passed away and started bawling. It's so heartbreaking to see Sending love to Lana and her family. Really hope everyone can be respectful in the comments, I'm worried seeing how some people came to honeymoon to talk about the dress. There’s absolutely no way DNC has nothing to do with anything. The jacket is very basic and Lana could have easily gotten one anywhere but she specifically chose to customize one with DNC for a reason. I don’t believe ATRL insiders unless they have leaked a full song before... so get to it whoever you are!

The way we got COCC less than a year ago and BB not even 2 months ago and Lana already has us predicting the title of the next one I really love the title Del Norte County, but it’s very possible the title will change before we get the finished product. I’m expecting a summer release maybe in 2023. I don’t expect yet another album released so close together but I wouldn’t complain

I'm pretty sure Shein stole that company's dress. They copy the design of expensive outfits or items with cheap materials then sell them for way less while still using pictures from the other website because theirs doesn't look nearly as good. It's how they make their money

Yeah lol people are quick to call out celebrities “buying” fast fashion yet do absolutely nothing themselves to help the cause. I’ve seen many influencers do brands and sponsorships for sites like Shein and get absolutely 0 criticism. Just can’t believe people are so quick to jump to conclusions that she MUST have gotten this dress off of Shein simply because a couple fans speculated it. Let her live. Can’t believe her own “fans” are coming after her on a private account that they should be grateful they’re allowed to follow. Lana doesn’t owe any of us a look into her her life, yet she allowed us to still keep in contact with honeymoon and some people are taking that for granted. Anyway, sorry for going on this rant. She looks gorgeous! Really looking forward to this album. I seem to like every single song so far. I’m so thankful that I found out about Mitski this year, her music has helped me in so many ways.

I love Lust For Life the album AND Summer Bummer. There’s honestly not a single song I dislike on the album, even if I do prefer the demos. I think the album was very necessary for her and her growth as an artist as she was trying new things. The aesthetic of that era is forever nostalgic to me and it is probably the era where I was most excited. I’ll never understand the hate for the album. Love is a great opener, even if 13 Beaches would’ve been better. I can appreciate it for what it is, even if there could’ve been improvements Maybe part of my love for this album is simply because it was the first Lana era I was old enough to truly enjoy. I remember being 12 and listening to Lust For Life that whole summer. Not sure if this opinion is super unpopular on here, but all of my friends seem to hate this album and I have to constantly defend it
