Blue Banisters - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
Gravitate replied to Elle's topic in Post-Release Threads
Blue Banisters seriously feels so iconic and it’s only been out for a couple months now. It feels similar to Born To Die or NFR! in the way that it’s a staple in her career. It hasn’t been out for long, but I know this album will be a memorable one in Lana’s career (not that all aren’t already) -
Blue Banisters - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll

If every album flowed based on purely sound, that would be so boring. I would rather have tracks that have a variety of different sounds that flow together story-wise or lyrically than sonically. If another ballad played after those 2, it would get repetitive. Dealer is a nice refreshing sound so that it doesn’t get tiring. -
Definitely! I think that this album will have 13 songs but only about 9 will be featured in the film (similar to what Halsey did). This way the most important songs that further the story are included and the songs that are apart of the story but not exactly major can get separate videos that will help promote the album (maybe even those will be the singles?) Idk if she’d do that knowing how Melanie is, but I personally think it would be a good move.

The music video for Male Fantasy is out! Absolutely beautiful. Directed and edited by Billie herself

I'm not sure, but I think she will probably release it as a compilation rather than an album. The songs probably won't flow together or tell a story since they are all written by different singers so I don't think she would consider it her album since she didn't write the songs.

I really am curious to hear what Lana and Migos would sound like together on a song. I believe her when she says that this album will be better than Blue Banisters. I feel like she's really finding the sound that works perfect for her and is really enjoying creating music. So happy for her and cannot wait!!

If I get a middle sticker mispress I will cry...especially if it's on Dealer The way the stock for the vinyl were so low this era...and they couldn't even get those few right

It felt like a lot was happening at once but I still didn’t care. Love Gaga’s acting though. I didn’t really care for the story

I noticed the difference as well. I still think it's a lovely color, but I would have preferred the lighter blue cause I feel like it matched the album more and also the color we got looks too similar to her other blue vinyls. Idk -
What was your reaction of the BTD to UV transition?
Gravitate replied to Honeyyoung's topic in Lana Thoughts
Ultraviolence wasn’t disappointing for me at all. I was pretty young and a new fan when it came out, so I wasn’t so used to the BTD sound that it would completely catch me off guard. The first song from the album I heard was West Coast (obviously lol) and I really loved it. I remember being obsessed with Brooklyn Baby, Ultraviolence, and Shades of Cool that whole summer. Still to this day one of my favorite albums from Lana
