they used the studio samples in high by the beach which made it awkward. if they had just done it acoustically, it would have been great.

high by the beach was awfullllllll. tly and honeymoon are better than the studio version imo

guyssss could the title honeymoon come from the deep relationship she had with barrie and then as soon as she cut him out of her life she started seeing fransisco. doing stuff like that is very dream like. having a dark relationship and then moving into something fun and sweet. i think she's singing about her time with barrie and her new life with fransisco and how it feels like some kind of honeymoon?

did anyone know that there are 24 hours in a day? i didnt know until time present but now thats time past or time future? (honestly there are some lyrics on this album that sound like she read her high school notes from science and history)

I feel like the themes are more mature and everything, and more cohesive(which i do really enjoy) but more repetitive and less diverse. there is a complexity missing. most of the songs on born to die had 2-3 demos or w/e. where she would add bridges, delete bridges, change lyrics, change tempos, instruments, until she had a solid album of material. she took a few more years on those demos and songs and really worked them to their full potential(dark paradise has like 2 crazy different demos, that live version with a weird prechorus, and then the final clean version, we see her layers of work) where honeymoon was probably written in about a year, MAYBE one demo per song. it kinda shows she didnt take the time to really edit lyrics or tempo or instruments and stuff. there are a bunch of songs on honeymoon that are so beautiful but could be beefed up for sure. I feel the same way about UV. She also keeps rhyming you and blue and choose and stuff which kinda annoys me. But I do appreciate how mature her sound has gotten, she just needs to beef a few things up, then pause and edit, then beef it up again.

the lyrics are so weak on this albummmm. born to die will 4ever be her best album(even tho i like AKA more) cuz its a collection of songs she worked on for a while, recording multiple versions with multiple producers, exploring the different sounds and lyrics. it also explores orchestral trip hop or w/e which is pretty fuckin cool. if honeymoon had better lyrics, it would be her best album. i'd really like to hear an album full of remade/reworked old songs to sound like honeymoon.

betcha she'll do something like paradise with honeymoon, especially after she said she feels like she can write whenever
