  1. some of y'all been dancin in circles the past few pages in this thread talking about the same ing nonsense over and over again smh
  2. Please stop making fun of Anne I've noticed it a lot recently in various threads, I find it awful how people seem to relish upsetting her when she's done nothing wrong - it's very disappointing to see nastiness
  3. does Lana actually mix her albums herself tho? I mean it's quite a technical and complex process and usually artists have mixing engineers
  4. got some pretty angry messages on twitter so I blocked a lot of people if ur reading this thread, bye! maybe one day you'll grow up too
  5. the groupchat involved have NO right to hold a moral high ground and act all concerned for lana when they were previously relentlessly joking about Lana being "fat" and just being generally insulting to her in general
  6. the #EclipseIsOverParty hashtag is where they're doing their little targeted campaign. And to think I used to be in that groupchat
  7. its funny bc the people in the twitter group chat "exposing" eclipse themselves have exchanged underage nudes lmao
  8. oh my god I follow the person who made that really obvious joke lmao their name is anisah
  9. why are the twitter gays now starting eclipse drama i can't deal with this
  10. some of y'all way too optimistic with lanas lyricism. watch the chorus be "we're young and in love, young and in love, young and in love, we're young and in love..."
  11. Still mad about this bc her outfit and set looked gorgeous in colour from all the photos we got and then she put an ugly black and white filter on it
  12. "just wanted to log in to do this live stream to share one of my favourite poems by t.s elliot! when people ask me about new music I'm like, god, I'm just not that interested. for me I'm just more interested in, you know, T.S Elliot and Walt Whitman, what's going to happen with our literary possibilities - which is why I'm so happy to announce my new project, a collection of my readings of some iconic 20th century poems xoxo"
  13. Exactly - It's not bad necessarily bc it's more minimal - PI was more minimal and there was slightly less going on but at least the cinematography was cohesive and there was a tangible effect being created as opposed to disjointed footage which seems as if it's been spliced together randomly from 3 different projects ... like there is legit the exact same footage of her opening the box that shows up twice for some reason in this video
  14. not even going to link to the disgrace of a video bc I can't be bothered which is probably what gaga was like as well during the conception of this video. honestly it is more disappointing considering who the video is by. Lady Gaga has some of the best music videos ever shot, and this is nothing of the sort.
  15. The million reasons video was tragic. Why did she make us wait that long for... that. Literally nothing happens in it apart from gaga having a sob in the desert, having a sob with her entourage, there's no plot or theme or anything it's so bland and uninteresting and utterly devoid of any sort of artistic value. disappointed with the video for one of my favourite songs
  16. Interesting from Pitchfork from their review "Starboy’s most interesting song is barely even a song. The two-minute-long “Stargirl Interlude,” finds Lana Del Rey reprising her role as Tesfaye’s foil, relating a pornographic “vision” over a minimal backing track, before Tesfaye closes out the song by cooing, “I just want to see you shine, ‘cause I know you are a Stargirl.” The brief snippet is filled with the sort of tension that’s so lacking from most of Starboy, playing up the theatrics for which both artists are known. "I feel like we’ve always been talking to each other through our music,” Tesfaye said of Del Rey in an interview last year. "She is the girl in my music, and I am the guy in her music.” Here, the pair embrace that meta-narrative, responding to their perceived lack of authenticity by retreating fully into the pop fantasy where their characters connect. It’s a boldly self-aware move, one that smartly manages to wring art from artifice."
  17. Inb4 it's revealed that all the time Lana spent in the studio was just to record tha backing vocals and interlude for the Weeknd's new album
  18. Stargirl feat Lana Del Rey
  19. I'm so tired of this thread constantly reverting to "why do u trust this ellipse guy he's probably from the label he's an attension seeker he gets noods for song snippets!!!1!1!"
  20. So apparently the second single is now Million Reasons...
  21. Starboy is iconic. Not a very immediate pop song, but the Daft Punk production on this track is insane.
  22. Being Mortal by Atul Gawande. A book about death. A bit depressing, but also very enlightening and inspiring. A beautiful book.
  23. I thought Resistance was about impregnation the first time I heard it I thought she was singing "your kid in me" and the line "new kind of porno, one that has yet been born oh" didn't really help to clear my confusion
