Rep is my favorite (though i don't think it's her best) but i remember it being absolutely panned when it came out, lover was treated a bit better by critics, but she was definitely losing relevancy and for a LONGGGG time those were viewed as her two weakest records. But now a lot of people seem to count 2017-2021 as her best music era. I've also been noticing ever since TTPD came out, people on pop forums are acting like Midnights is an amazing album when I remember the general consensus being that it was one of her worst records and the production was bland. It seems like people only appreciate her albums in hindsight.

i'm sad that ttpd is out... it's my fave. but i'm gonna vote based on the era and not particularly how much i like the album

i'm trying not to get into arguments on here but jesus this is just so disrespectful to her artistry... many people including me do not believe there was a ''sharp decline" in the quality of her music and equating her talent with some random man you know nothing about is just... weird.

My Idea for this was to make the concept stronger by keeping the Miami love letter thing, but more specifically making the concept “night out in Miami that gets ruined by my on and off relationship”… I put the songs in somewhat of a chronological order though I put Godspeed first as I feel like it encapsulates the album and works as a good prelude to the events of the album, and it just sounds really great as an intro.

Just because it’s insanely dry in here let’s do a thought experiment: IF Jinnwithin is an insider and IF what they said about new music being dependent on US politics (single releasing after the debate this week; Lasso being released only if Trump loses) then that makes me believe these songs could be somewhat political. Which would…… scare me  When I type it all out though it sounds insane.

I don’t want to sound like I’m on a high horse but I genuinely don’t find any music terrible 😭 I’ve gotten really annoyed at songs (LUNCH by Billie Eillish… sorry Billie stans) but it’s mostly because they are overplayed or I just don’t particularly like it. That doesn’t mean I think it’s genuinely bad. Most of the time if I don’t like something It’s just not my taste.

i'm not sure what it is about the nfr ballads that i like so much more than the ballads on chemtrails-ocean blvd. in theory all albums since nfr have been relatively in the same sonic landscape but nfr is my favorite album of all time while chemtrails/bb/ocean blvd are all on the lower half of my ranking. 

These kinds of threads are just not a good idea 

You know I actually have one song I want to put on here but I’m a bit afraid of the lashings I will receive 

I love how theres a giant header at the top of this website asking you to read a thread about how recent drama between standoms is ruining the site and then we just make a thread thats specifically to pick drama out of each other for hating each others faves music.
