I’ve been saying since day 1 that Taylor didn’t silence Lana They’re both queens and are considerate ♡ -
I swear casual fans get information purely off of fan accounts and those fan accounts got their information from insiders on here. End the cycle, and promote This era is so strong and yet it’s not mainstream..
-
So… where’s the promotion happening

ADIAML is one of Marina’s best and that’s that

Obviously Lana’s version is the best and nothing will ever compare, but I love this cover. It’s so different from the original but also not ?? He really ate that shit up -
I’m not sure if this is unpopular or not, but Velvet Crowbar is one of Lana’s best unreleased
-
What of Melanie’s leaked that we’re talking about

What is your Holy Trinity for each Lana album?

I’m going to do this both from a personal perspective as well as a more critical and collective perspective. The first is my personal opinion xx Sirens Drive By A Star For Nick My Momma AKA (one of my fav albums, each track is a gem) Kill Kill For K (Pt 2) Yayo Born To Die (another album where each track holds a special place in my heart) Born To Die Off To The Races Blue Jeans or National Anthem Paradise Ride Cola Bel Air Ultraviolence Ultraviolence Brooklyn Baby West Coast Honeymoon Honeymoon High By The Beach Salvatore LFL Lust For Life 13 Beaches Beautiful People Beautiful Problems NFR Mariners Apartment Complex Venice Bitch Hope COCC White Dress Tulsa Jesus Freak title track Blue Banisters (I’m a BB stan, I think this album is magical in its own way) Blue Banisters Black Bathing Suit Sweet Carolina Unreleased (I feel so limited here haha) Boarding School St. Tropez or TV In Black And White Serial Killer A ranking I feel most people can come to a consensus about: -
Not me about to go listen to it to see Edit: It’s not one of those things I would notice unless it was pointed out but I see what you mean I also didn’t realize she released a new album until now Edit again: Not me just realizing @fl0r1dakil0s included the new album release in the first post.. my adhd brain I swear

I so agree and I’ve never heard anyone say that before Their song writing has their differences but sonically they’re extremely similar. They’re all great musicians though, but it can be hard to distinguish them as a causal listener

She gives me a bit of a Clairo vibe as well
-
I’m not super into her but I’d listen to Stay, Feels Like, Block Me Out, tehe, I miss you I’m sorry, and Hard to Sleep
-
I’m just going to leave this here.. um yeah that was today

Midnight with the stars and you, Midnight and a rendez-vous, Your eyes held a message tender, Saying I surrender all my love to you Ugh, I just love oldies so much <3 Here’s my Spotify playlist of my favorite songs from 1940 and below if anyone also likes oldies

Here’s my possible theory about Lana’s current relationship with religion. Lana believes that God and the universe are one in the same. There’s a higher power there for her and everyone else. She goes to church, but she is also an astrological girl. It’s all part of connecting to a higher being. In her writing, anything that can be interpreted as a diss (for argument’s sake), might be a nudge towards corruption within the church or their strict standards (I’m not trying to criticize or judge anyone’s religion, but the reality is not all churches are just). Again, it’s just a theory that I’m not sure I believe, but I’ve thought about it before.

I’m not going to make a ranking prediction for every track but I think the top tier songs will be the title track, A&W, Kintsugi, Taco Truck x VB, Fingertips, Peppers, The Grants, and Fishtail (me pretending like I didn’t mention half the tracklist)
