Same but honestly most book printers/publishers wouldn't touch that thing with a ten foot pole because they do NOT want to be sued for copyright. You'd probably have to go with somebody like vistaprint or something and only have a copy or two of it made to fly under the radar.

Lana Del Rey Lyrics Anthology Book, or Anthology 'Bible' Gate The Lana Del Rey Anthology Book was a spin-off idea based on the lyric book(s) Lana sold during her earlier tours that contained lyrics to released songs from Born to Die and Paradise. These were sold up until and throughout the Endless Summer Tour. This idea seemed to have stemmed from user @lflflflflflflflflflf known as Moy. The first mention of it, as well as many details surrounding the project can be found in the thread below during May of 2015. **Note Throughout this post I simply refer to it as the 'Bible' as that's how many lipsters refer to the genuine lyric book sold by miss Del Rey herself. Humble Beginnings: As the months went on the ideas for the book began to progress beyond just a few pages and concept ideas. The user, by all accounts, approached book printers seeking pricing, materials information, and other pieces of crucial knowledge before proceeding with finalized versions of the bible. Many of these ideas were cultivated not only on Lana Boards but on twitter and tumblr as well, but information from those sites is a bit more difficult to find as of writing this November 17th, 2022. Examples of what the bible could've looked like are found below, screenshots from the official kickstarter page for the project. Kickstarter It appears that the Kickstarter began shortly after the final concepts of the lyric bible were coming together. Many Lana Boards community members who had fallen in love with the concept design and idea of the bible began to flood the kickstart with donations of varying amounts. Although there are likely other backers, most of them are likely from Lana Boards. Below you can find three different 'levels' of backing the Kickstarter offered to those who wanted to support the project. Doubts Looming As seen in the first screenshot of this deep-dive, the total amount of money the Kickstarter campaign raised was exactly £6,441 from 180 backers. Despite the outpouring of support for the concept, things quickly began to go south as December of 2015 approached, months beyond the projected completion date. Rightfully, many backers and Lana Boards community members began to grow frustrated from the radio silence on the project creator's various social media accounts regarding the readiness of the bible as seen below. Creator Response or Lack Thereof In response to the frustration the creator had posted on their facebook that some copyright issues had been brought up by the book publisher/printer (who would've thought?). The publisher asked them to make some changes to the book, changes that are not necessarily specified but we can speculate being the copyrighted images and likely the lyrics themselves. Evidence below. **Note May likely exchanged these messages from the creator on facebook, Moy, and posted them to the original thread as seen below. (Info from LB user @the ocean) Excuses, Excuses The excuses on behalf of the creator and this 'May' account continued for several months. Frustration began to turn to anger as many backers and Lana Board community members rightfully felt that they had been scammed and that the project was likely to never come to fruition. Moy, the bible project's creator eventually went completely silent on on social platforms, confirming that it is more than likely either the publisher or Lana's team made it clear that the copyright violations would not be tolerated and they would not allow this project to continue. As before, evidence of this can be found below Ghosted The creator never bothered to return the kickstarter donations, and by all accounts seems to have gotten away with it. Evidence of this can, once again be found below. It is unclear how many people did or did not get refunds regarding the project but it appears it may have been easier if the backer used PayPal. The End As of writing this, November 17th, 2022 Bible gate is one of the only and most successful scams on Lana boards, even though it may not have started out as one. The original thread has been locked for a few months as the topic is no longer relevant and it is more than likely the creator has taken off with the money with no hopes of a finished product. Some people still refer back to this project when referring to the phrase bible within the Lana community; however, that is also what the aforementioned official lyrics book(s) have been dubbed by the community. May this serve as a reminder to be wary of giving money to people online, no matter how good the end result may look. Bonus Feature A gif made by a LB community member likely sourced from one of the now deleted 'explanation' videos Moy made when he was still active. Gif is pretty self-explanatory.

That's where I'm at. I'll stream her music and always root for her to fuck over Scooter at ever possible turn because he absolutely deserves it but I just don't want to really buy merch or even physical copies of her music just because of how morally apprehensible her business practices are. I actually wanted to add onto this. I actually had been listening to Taylor Swift since 2009 and bought all her CDs and some merch until about 2013 when I got more into Lana and haven't really kept up. These past few weeks I have been paying attention to all the TS news since she announced Midnights and the whole thing seems... uncomfy to me. The whole idea of selling four of the exact same vinyl, an INSANE amount of merch, a few weeks later followed by an entire second round of holiday merch, the release of a million different remixes some of which you have to purchase, etc. The whole setup of Midnights has seemed like such an obvious money grab toward fans, especially younger fans, who absolutely adore her and will absolutely spend money they do not have just to support her, a multi-millionaire likely soon to be billionaire. Her silence regarding the entire ticket master fiasco, the fact that they didn't disable dynamic pricing, and not even to mention to fact that there are tickets being sold for over $100,000 right now online is extremely disappointing. The ticket master fiasco certainly is not all on Taylor but she hasn't issued any sort of apology or even at least attempted to console fans in any type of way who were literally bawling their eyes out online. The whole thing just gives me this yucky feeling and as somebody who once obsessed over her when I was younger and listened to her music religiously growing up it's really, really disappointing. At least from this side of things, I can tell she does like having special moments with fans and making them feel a part of her music but it just seems all kind've... orchestrated at this point. I still do enjoy Taylor's music and I really do think she has genuine passion for fans I just think her love of amassing a ridiculous amount of wealth off the backs of fans is not only disappointing but borderline disturbing. I'm honestly just glad to have a favorite artist like Lana who has never really been interested in making herself a product to put on display and sell to people. Especially with her ending the deluxe version after ultra, saying she was interested in a digital-only release not too long ago, etc. it's obviously Lana has no interest in tithing us for cash at every possible turn.
