I think she should just leave visuals to experts at this point… her music videos are getting worse and worse… amazing how well crafter the CB MV were in opposed to the Portals ones (with more budget) When it comes to the music, I will say the unreleased stuff was much more interesting to me than the released. The rock vibe just isn’t for her in my opinion… it was cute on Function and Evil but I think she excels more with ambient / trap production! Some of the best songs in this era being Tunnel Vision, Garden, Dragons Blood, Void (demo), Contortionist and Needle & Thread on the other hand, I don’t agree the CB persona is what went wrong with her… if done right, the concept could have been much more interesting and could go on for a couple more albums. The problem is her writting, her concepts get more and more uninspired and the lyrics are straight up cringe. An example of that is After School, she didn’t follow a character there yet it stays her worst effort to date for me

143 I Woke Up Woman’s World Gorgeous I’m His, He’s Mine Nirvana Lifetimes All The Love Okay Truth Has A Heart Wonder the album still a mess and should have never ever been done to begin with… that said there’s some songs like Gorgeous, All the Love, Wonder, Truth and OK that have “some” potential

I taste like a cherry I don’t know, and what about Boy Crazy? I didn’t know about those Delusional is cute, but I don’t see the point of doing 2 versions with just a few seconds of difference, just release the better one a call it off a day… this obsession with streaming needs to end now, it’s cringe specially from artist u know wont get any extra attention for that. Like ur not Ariana Grande or Sabrina Carpenter! A few stream up or down won’t mind

Okay, so enough time has passed: The Great Impersonator Only Living Girl in LA Alice of the Upper Class Ego Dog Years I Believe in Magic Hometown Panic Attack Darwinism Lonely is the Muse Arsonist Lessons I Never Loved You Life of the Spider (Draft) Nothing The Great Impersonator Charades (Bonus) Afraid of the Dark (Japan exclusive) I would have kept The End as a stand alone single after announcing her sickness (the album as it is it’s a little too ballad heavy). Lessons gives me major Depeche Mode vibes and Charades major Cher vibes… BOPs. also am I the only one getting Alanis Morrissete from Only Living Girl in LA? Love the reference to the quote in her Maxxxime cameo also! The first single should have been Alice, followed by Ego, Lonely is the Muse, Panic Attack and Arsonist (plus I never loved you as a promo) the songs are very good but the concept and Tracklist are a little all over the place! Other than that, a masterpiece! Im sorry but I will never enjoy a interlude heavy album, that’s why I didn’t include the Letters to God

https://on.soundcloud.com/2GKWargxYFVMLhWv5 Is this writers demo of Candy legit u guys? also, even tho it’s a rough demo… Red Lights it’s a cute lil bop

Idgaf about this fuckers opinion, this album is a 10 in my mind! Maybe it could be a little shorter… no interludes and maybe 2-3 tracks less and it would be PERFECT! But as it is it’s great too, just like Stripped I must say tho… the deluxe tracks eat… HARD! Alice of the Upper Class, Lessons, Nothing, Afraid of the Dark, Charades… hope she releases em on digital form at some point for me the perfect Tracklist would be: 1. Only Living Girl in LA 2. Alice of the Upper Class 3. Ego 4. Dog Years 5. I Believe in Magic 6. Panic Attack 7. Darwinism 8. Lonely is the Muse 9. Arsonist 10. Lessons 11. I Never Loved You 12. Life of the Spider (Draft) 13. Hometown 14. Charades 15. The Great Impersonator ps: I get u can have an opinion, and ur entitled to it… but I saw both Fantanos and Pitchforks reviews and to say those things about a person opening up about things so personal… feels… out of touch! They may think they’re edgy but instead they look like idiots to me. Even if u don’t like her as a person (I once didn’t like her either) or think she’s cringe, there’s some lines you shouldn’t cross… it’s almost sociological! Even Fantanos comment section was pointing this out, and that rare since everytime all u can find there are stupid one liners and people licking his pretentious ass

I mean… the run from I Never Loved You to Life of the Spider (Draft) is INSANE!
-
Im soooooo addicted to Arsonist! Such a BOP specially after looking all the meaning in Genius, love her more for that
-
And Official Girl, Tough Luck and more!
-
fixed that for ya
-
Arsonist kind of SLAPS! Specially the spoken part
-
I was going to say, it gives me mayor Ray Of Light vibes and I love her for that anyways, im loving this vibe for her and Aquamarine is THAT BITCH
-
She actually delivered a quite decent song! Her vocals are strong and it’s catchy for sure! The lyrics are still mid road for me but overall it’s an improvement for sure!!! this feels more like her old self without feeling performative or a cash grab like in Chromatica
-
Im loving this!!! She’s so versatile yet she has such a distinguished style for an album called The Great Impresionator! Her lyrics are always so raw and direct, yet poetic! I also love how she touched the subject of her sickness in some songs (from the singles I didn’t think she was going to). On my first listens my favourites in no particular order are: - Dog Years - Panic Attack - Ego - Lonely Is The Muse - I Believe In Magic - Darwinism - Arsonist - Hurt Feelings - Life of the Spider (Draft) - I Never Loved You so far her most chill album, I would even call it almost country at some points. But unlike other (TS I’m looking at you) the stripped down instrumentals make sense and don’t make it boring. Really 90s overall! I love the direction she’s going with this, for a minute I was scared after listening to So Good (maybe her worst single ever, so mid I can’t put into words), but she took her time after IICHLIWP and delivered once again! She’s going for critical acclaim, sadly she’s far behind her successful days. Dog Years is specially touching, love the metaphor and the theme of that song the vibe is vibing
