my guesses are: - Sirens for Nymphology - Garden for BOTL / Evil - Needle & Thread / Fingers Crossed / Magnets for Light Shower (yikes) - Dragons Blood for Battle Of The Larynx (the worst by far) - Emerald for Amulet outro and that’s based on the topic of the songs and general storyline… but I’m pretty sure of that since she takes the concept of the album so seriously. She has stated multiple times she thinks of the titles and meanings before even making the songs anyway, every change was for worse in all the cases

I actually think those were scrapped in favor of Light Shower which I find even more unfortunate

Idk if that’s a good idea tho… she has finally created a quite loyal following on her own and to throw all that away just for a “rebrand” could lead to a flop! It’s not like she has Gaga or Madonna status to do that I also think the name suits her a lot, even her music. If she wants to pull a 180 she can do it with the same name, im sure the support will be there… im the first one wanting her to go full on alternative!!

I don’t think she’s really planning on retiring from music really… she even said it’s a way of pushing herself to do the best she can! But it’s obvious to me she does care for music and actually enjoys pop in it’s true form (one of the few this days)

Happy to hear we’re getting Attention reworked, it has a lot of potential! I guess she cleared the Tommy sample after all, it’s a win! At least it’s not the Ava Max coded Heartbreak On Stereo. She should also give Heartbeat Away, Emotional or Psycho Lover a chance, they are crazy good Also… im hoping to hear some more Tear Me Open, Serial Killer or Talk To Me from her in the next project! She does weird alt pop so well and hopefully she isn’t discouraged from doing it since all the praise she gets it’s mostly from rap / angry songs. Don’t get me wrong, I love them but I kinda like her pop / melodic sound a little more songs over 3:40 / 4:00 minutes are appreciated too (still not over Troubled Paradise)! The album, as I expected, it’s mid at best… basic ass reggaeton songs, Cohete specially sounds more like Rauw than her (Entre Paréntesis), Como Donde y Cuando and Nassau are great tho

Tired of only replaying Tunnel Vision, The Contortionist and Powder nonstop since they are the only songs with replay value in this goddamn album It’s a shame all my plays go to waste in SoundCloud leaks of Garden, Dragons Blood and Fingers Crossed

I think with Chromatica she TRIED to come back to her eccentric roots but failed miserably… the production is so H&M it hurts and the lyrics are real bad… I can only see a little bit of old Gaga in Babylon… the rest is so in the nose! Gaga used to have strange lyrics and metaphors like Teeth, Government Hooker or Bloody Mary. now instead we get lyrics like “My name isn’t Alice, but I still keep looking for Wonderland” or “My biggest enemy is me, Pop a 911” or “the scars on my mind are on replay” or Fun Tonight as a whole. So cringe 😬 she’s relying so much on “trauma” and not even on an artistic way like she did on ARTPOP. Swine, Dope and Gypsy are great examples of this… it’s like a watered down Gaga! I think even Joanne is superior to Chromatica, at least it’s not selling “weird alien aesthetic” to deliver Ava Max songs. Trying to rely on features like Ariana, Blackpink or Elthon John is also proof of the tryhardness of it all. It’s givin industry plant She has criticized Madonna several times, but the thing is, Madonna has never settled down in her career, specially not so early on… she’s still pushing the boundaries to this day (even if Madame X isn’t my favorite)… im not saying Gaga is not an icon, she has delivered 3 perfect pop albums in a row, and inspired artists like Slayyyter. Im just hoping they don’t fall flat like her and get lazy. When Slayyyter said she was obsessed with Chromatica I was afraid for the album, but it still turned out good

I know talking about her artistic decay has been the topic of this thread for years now, but it still amazes me how someone, I though could do no wrong like her, has dropped the ball so hard in terms of quality! how’s possible she’s the same person who wrote Dollhouse, Tag, Your It, Miss Potato Head or Bittersweet Tragedy… and now doing songs like Battle of the Larynx, Glued, Brain & Heart or Field Trip… the leaks of Portals gave me some hope but she instead chose to release the messiest concept album in ages. Crybaby was a perfect era cause, even though the outtakes are great, I can’t imagine the album any other way! It’s perfect the way it is and the songs chosen are ideal! They work so well to the narrative and still are cohesive without being boring in Portals, on the other hand, I can imagine the album with any tracklist other than the one we were given… that’s how bad she selected the songs. And don’t blame the leaks cause, for example, Miley had Plastic Hearts completely leaked months before it’s release and it’s still her best work. the same goes for many other artists… at the end of the day, leaks only get to hardcore fans, but the general public won’t even notice. That’s how hard you are willing to compromise the quality of your work? For a few twitter gays? she was my favourite artist by far, her concepts and aesthetic were sooo interesting, but she lost it for me… completely. It’s clear Kinetics + One love had a lot to do with it since her best songs are with them

I honestly don’t get the obsession with Lady Gaga… like the Fame Monster and Born This Way are masterpieces (ARTPOP is a mess but still has great songs too) but all her recent efforts are getting more boring and mid… Chromatica was a desperate way of capitalizing on her past self but failed miserably… she doesn’t even look like the same person AT ALL! All she does now is compliant about the music industry, take herself too seriously and try to sell herself as a Jazz singer/makeup artist, WTF! It’s like she has lost all interest in music once she got all the money and recognition I hope Slayyyter doesn’t follow her steps, and goes the Madonna route and reinvent herself. STARFUCKER was great but I don’t want her to do the same over and over again. I have faith in her vision tho
