I wasnt intantly hooked to High Fashion as i was for Aquamarine, but it is growing in me a LOT (kinda like Diet Pepsi). Its a slow burn with a very artistic approach, reminds me of Selenas Hands To Myself in a way… quite sensual I dont agree with the video being the “worst” so far, I would say the opposite! I think this is the most visually appealing one so far. Her movements arent as exagerated and dramatic as in Diet Pepsi, also the outfits and cinematography EAT

Okay, for anyone wondering: 15 Minutes: Fun upbeat moment, classic Sabrina melodies with Feather like production. The best one for sure Please Please Please (ft. Dolly): cute i guess, not a very big fan of the original so… Couldnt Make It Any Harder: Starts kinda boring, i was afraid it was another horrible Antonoff ballad but it turns into a Queen-esque fun retro moment. Could be used in a Grease like musical (reminds me of Hopelessly Devoted To You). Busy Woman: BOP, glad they improved the mixing a bit since it was driving me crazy. Also some changes in the lyrics of the bridge Bad Reviews: Worst way possible to close the deluxe, a boring ass plain mid Antonoff ballad. Someone put that man in a rocket and shot him into space Overall feels like a natural expansion of Short N Sweet, nothing ground breaking with some fun moments. I would had cut Please Please Please remix and Bad Reviews.

i think thats why shes been feeling insecure to put out more music and has quitted music… people calling her a “flop” nonstop a shame since she has so much talent, i thinks shes more interesting than half of the “pop girlies” out there

i agree, i would have loved if she had explored those topics instead! I get its open for interpretation but it makes me a little uncomfortable to listen to it for that same very reason… I think maybe the wrong people can get comfort in those lyrics and thats sad cause i want to believe thats not the point Ethel wants to make

I see both points, dont get me wrong! I dont think shes standing up for pdfs or anything like that, but i would have loved if she had clarified a bit more about why it is wrong… i get she was trying an impartial approach for the sake of art, but specially being about a real life case i think she should at least try to make her position more clear… i do love heavy topics, but i think trying to get simpathy for the perpetrator is a bit too much… specially with her recent controversies online about incest and all that stuff. Pederasty is not a kink or a philia, is a crime that should not be compared to other “sexual desviations” in my opinion. From what i gathered, the initial concept for the album was to talk about different types of philias in each song, and to compare this behaviour to them seems a bit dismissive to the actual gravity of child abuse but i guess thats the art of music everyone makes its own conclusions
