elaborating on this bc i felt bad lol; the COCC mv was incredible but it just feels like there's a disconnect between the music and the visual these days like, unpopular opinion, but the COCC cover art is great imo, it just doesn't go with what's on the record, to me it feels disjointed - and the consistently low-effort visuals make anything that's even a little bit thoughtful, seem that much more impressive which i honestly think might be how lana likes it: she gives a fuck where she actually does, and does the bare minimum for every other contractual obligation

honestly the cover art, if that's what it is, is a travesty & a mess, but i feel like the last time she gave us strong visuals was when she released the freak mv, lmao - which wasn't even made for that song, so the lo-fi vibe worked for nfr! (and made things like the doin' time mv stand out by comparison) but it's overstayed its welcome as long as the music's good i don't really care though tbh

would it be possible to have vertical ads running down one/either side of each page, since all forum content is at a fixed width? i think that would be better than having horizontal ads in-between posts, which might make wordier threads harder to read... also, the banner ads on the index page - the two at the top and the one at the bottom - don't seem to appear anywhere else, maybe look into that if nothing else?

I can live with the vignette ads. If there was a "5 seconds before you can skip" type of thing happening, I wouldn't be amenable to them, but the way they've been implemented is just fine. Are you able to see how frequently the ads (are supposed to) appear, @Elle - or any control over that, aside from turning them on/off? I'm not getting them very often at all, so maybe it's semi-random and I've just been getting lucky - but if it's possible to finetune how often they come up, maybe that would mitigate people's apparent issues with them. I do also want to say - I really appreciate that they're turned off for guests, good call.

if you're on Chrome, CTRL+Shift+T brings up the last tab you closed! i don't think the vignette ads actually change the URL you're on, so you should be able to "reset" to where you were, that way

they're not particularly intrusive - because they're Google ads, at the end of the day, so it's not like we're having to navigate through 5734829 nested pop-ups (where you click away from one, and it brings up a billion more ) laced with malware. plus, they're in-between page loads, and they don't seem to be very frequent, so it's not exactly disrupting the user experience keep them and secure your bag Elle x (and thank you for reminding me to turn off Adblock for this site skjhdfggksdfhj I had completely forgotten to do so on desktop)
