I guess their legacy will be carried by those fake Twitter insiders who spread those fake titles given to us. There was this fake insider called @JinnWithin from August 2024 who claimed to have info about the new album and gave us three songs titles with capital letters and asterixs for us to guess, one of them was N****** R**** and I clocked that it was Nouveau Riche and they said was true or something. Nevertheless, all of the info they gave us was bullshit because none of their certain promises came true (like Lana will have a perfume perfume line out in October 2024 lol).

I haven't listened to the new album, but I have seen people hating it on social media. I don't really listen to her music that much but Fetish is my favorite song from her discography, so those who have listened, are there any songs like Fetish on the new album?

Not gonna lie, thanks to Cupid's Girl my hopes are getting higher and higher for the album. I was excited nevertheless but now I cannot wait for it. This is my favorite single since Venus Fly Trap in a way how this song is on repeat all the time when it was released. Princess Of Power is Sweet And Sour? Oh my god I need to it to be the next single so bad, I loved the insta story snippet so much. It would be a great opportunity to release it on April since it mentions April showers

HOLY SHIT how ENERGETIC Cupid's Girl is, I love this song so much! It's so fast and upbeat, it's like the upbeat tracks from Electra Heart and Ancient Dreams combined with a dash of Love + Fear as well but it's still so different from what has she done. But the tempo is actually quite similar to Ancient Dreams title track! And I absolutely love the sound effects in that song, so incredible. I loooove the synths in the beginning and I love the arrow squash noises after the chorus and before the beat drop! And the bow string pull sounds in the end! I love her high vocals as well but I love her vocals on the verses, like Froot title track vocals! Such a fun and awesome track, I love it, listened to it for 3 times, I need radios to play it! This song makes me feel like this:

Does anyone else feel this special connection to Love + Fear? Like I know that in terms of creativity of lyricism and production this album is weak but funny thing is I love this album and nothing can make me hate it. It's probably because of my own personal reasons when it was released but damn, I still occasionally listen to it. I loooove the ballads in it. My favorite tracks are Emotional Machine, End Of The Earth, Soft To Be Strong, Handmade Heaven, To Be Human, Believe In Love, Superstar and Too Afraid. I love the crystal clear sound in those tracks. And I love the introspective lyricism in some of these. The world-building in Handmade Heaven is simply dreamy. Life Is Strange, Enjoy Your Life, Karma and True fell into the "meh" category for me where I don't like either the production or the lyrics. Like I love the production of Life Is Strange but the lyrics are basic but while I love the quirkiness of Karma, I don't like the production because it's too idk Clean Bandit-y tropical pop to me. I don't like Baby and I don't listen to it but again I've got very special connection to it because of the time it was released. This song in general feels like a fever dream lmao. No More Suckers and You are the only songs I don't like at all and don't listen to. I consider Orange Trees basic but I don't necessarily hate it but again, I don't listen to it as well.

Ancient Dreams not being the lead single for Ancient Dreams was imo a crime. Man's World is cute but if I'd choose between a ballad or a punchy jam for a lead single then I'd obviously would've chosen the latter since it definitely also describes the album the best (well at least half of the album).

fuck i realized how fast this year has gone by, tomorrow is THE march 21st. i had always imagined that "ah jeremy's birthday is just in a month" but i didn't realize that this month has gone by so faaaast.

I wonder if Cupid Girl's music video is some kind of a sequel to Butterfly's video. She has different make-up in the behind the scenes video but it feels like a continuation somehow. Probably has the same director. I really loved the video for Butterfly though. She looked so beautiful there. Like a goddess.

Yeah but I didn't necessarily mean Greek music (although she has said that she's influenced from it as well), she has lived in London and europop music was popular in West European countries like UK. I mean, you can define it as psychedelic pop if you want to. But personally I don't hear any influence from psychedelic music. It is close to chamber pop but imo Butterfly doesn't really have a concrete defining genre, since it has influences and fusions from there and there.

Because I used to listen to this exact kind europop in the 2000s and I can see the influence from ATC's Around The World. Butterfly is not psychedelic cmon. And comparing to European music is not offensive (I know you didn't say it but I feel like you're implying as it's bad that I compare the music to europop), I'm European and so is Marina, European (pop) music has been one of her influences. I grew up listening to this kind music and even though I have outgrown it now as I don't listen to this type of music now, it is a bit nostalgic for me to listen to it now.
