Dan recorded a demo for Pretty When You Cry as well and Blake version we have was the first one cuz it was recorded in one take. So that's why I thought that the Rick versions of Guns And Roses was recorded before Dan because I don't think she recorded with Rick after she completed the stuff with Dan

Happy 10th Birthday to these two masterpieces No Church On Sunday and Digital Dream Girl which happen to be one of my all time favorite songs, with the first one belonging to my top 10 all time favorites. I felt my life changed after listening to these songs for the first time. These timeless ethereal psychedelic and/or electronic sounding songs haven't aged at all, they sound like they could have been made in 2024, 1984 or 2004. Been on repeat all day, these songs are also my most listened songs on Spotify. No Church On Sunday definitely describes my personal music style and sound which I also found thanks to Lana, the comparsions between this song and Heroin. This music video is also really dope - very artistic, very surreal. Digital Dream Girl is the best synth pop B-Side reelased in 2014, it really feels eerie and sweet at the same time. Kind of predicted the 2020s where the digital communication is part of society's everyday's life and also the resurgence of 1980s synth pop music. The Great Cybernetic Depression is one of the best concept albums of the 21st century and I'd consider it a long lost sister to Lust For Life's original concept.

Lana's TikTok impact on songs going viral (Discussion)
Embach replied to americangothic's topic in Lana Thoughts
I hate TikTok so much but I'm glad that it gave some popularity to her and some of her underrated songs and perhaps made the general public understand what an artistic genius she actually is and what a big impact she has on the music industry. The most annoying thing about this are those new fans who spread misinformation though. -
Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
Embach replied to Monicker's topic in Lana Thoughts
Original files are just the original source from the studios/producers/engineers without any edits and it also sometimes has the metadata (I think it's called that) with details about the recording date or the original title or the mix number or producer/engineer. -
Has any artist done a press tour for their albums like these past few years? I haven't seen major artists like Taylor or Billie or Beyoncé do a press tour for their albums.

Honeymoon - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
Embach replied to annedauphine's topic in Post-Release Threads
I don't know if anyone has noticed this but I'll post it here anyway. This seems to be the Japanese Universal Music promo CD version of Honeymoon, I found it from Discogs. Four people claim to have it. It also might be fake but it seems to have all the tags that it belongs to Universal Music label, who knows. It's nice to see that this photo was used as an alternate cover but nothing beats the original for me. The only suspicious thing is that it shows the release date as September 25th, 2015 but I saw from Wikipedia (with a reference) that the CD version was released in Japan on that date (major label American or European albums tend to be released much later in Japan). -
