Got an email this morning saying my issue got shipped.

On their site it still says to pre-order the issue, so I think it's not out yet.

I now have a signed Honeymoon vinyl from the Urban Outfitters NYC M&G.

IMO, her writing is better on UV than it is on any other album. The imagery, the rhymes, and the situations she describes are great. I feel like you can tell she took her time making each song great. There weren't as many cringey lines that she threw in out of laziness on the album. Like as much as I love Salvatore, the soft ice cream line makes me go WTF every time, especially since she ends the song with that lyric. There aren't as many of these moments on UV. The only line that sticks out to me on UV as being bad is "I'm a dragon, you're a whore." Just a weird juxtaposition and it's dumb that she's calling someone a whore on a song where she's saying she fucked her way to the top.

For sure. I mean the amount of dedicated fans who were willing to camp out for her M&G for 24 hours in NYC proved that to me. Kendall had her M&G at Macy's the day before Lana had hers, and on the day Kendall's event was taking place, Macy's was tweeting that there were still tickets available. Compare that to Lana's event where Urban had to tweet the day BEFORE it took place that the line was already full. And both events had the same 125 limit. It just showed me that Lana can draw crowds just as well and even better than some of these celebs that are constantly in the news. I don't think you would've seen the same line for other alternative celebs like Marina (who I also like). And she's still selling as well as a lot of these popular celebs. The HM sales are a little disappointing after UV's numbers, but you can bet that Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato will do similar numbers, and they've both been getting heavy rotation on the radio and doing performances on big award shows and doing TV appearances. Meanwhile Lana can just chill and perform just as well.

She probably does and they have the power to put pressure on her, but at the end of the day, if Lana doesn't want to do it, she's not going to. She seems like the type who would rather be penalized by her label than do something she doesn't want to do. We heard that there was a lot of conflict between Lana and Interscope during UV and I feel like Interscope has given up on her in terms of promotion and trying to be commercially friendly. I'm starting to think this really will be her last album with them.

I feel like we wouldn't be as disappointed with the B&W if she hadn't shared those pics of her with pretty glitter on her face and the colorful costume and flowers and shit.

The underwater scenes aren't totally random to me. They're the "hoes with lies akin" to Lana. To me the song is about zoning out with some weed and good music while you check out hot dudes. It's all about that dreamy stoner atmosphere. In the song there's mention of both boys and girls, so I guess it fits. Maybe she's trying to show the opposite ends of boys and girls--the boys playing basketball, the girls looking like dreamy nymphs underwater. Maybe being a mysterious feminine being is what she means by "I know what only the girls know." I don't know, I'm reaching to make connections here. What I don't get AT ALL is that pink flamingos line. Even before the video, I didn't get the place of that in the song and I don't get what it has to do with anything, so seeing the birds in the video just emphasizes the confusion for me.

Omg that was so good! Way better than HBTB! I agree that the B&W was overused though. It would've gone well with just the shots of the film, but I would've loved to see all the colors of the set while she was lounging by the pool, I mean we could see from the pictures that it was a beautiful set with a lot of colors.

WHAT THE FUCK IT'S PRIVATE AND I DIDN'T GET TO SEE IT

A lot of artists do the whole only-questions-through-email thing. The latest cover story about Rihanna on Fader Magazine starts with the journalist saying how Rihanna only agreed to be part of the issue if the questions would be through email. I'm kind of surprised about her insisting they give her the cover, but at the same time not really. IMO Lana both loves and hates fame, and while she hates the paparazzi and being criticized, I think she loves doing glamorous photo shoots and loves having people talk about how mysterious she is.

So where is it.

She's right about this. I don't like men calling me a bitch, period. I don't care if you're gay or straight. And saying that men have the right to use it because it's used against men is faulty logic, when the only reason it's used as an insult towards men is to imply that they're inferior for acting like women. With that said Azealia is trash. She uses all of the same tactics that she says men and white people use to oppress her to silence others. She does the same derailing and uses the same arguments to justify her homophobia that men use to justify their sexism and racists use to justify their racism. And she was on Instagram like a day ago making racist jokes against Latinos saying they look like they floated to America on a raft and shit like that, but you can bet that if someone dissed her with a joke using black stereotypes she would flip her shit. She's a hypocrite.

Right now, I would go with Honeymoon.
