  1. Idk at this point I'm convinced we'll get the first single two months ahead of the album like with UV.
  2. So apparently Lana's Vevo channel has a private video and people are speculating that it's Honeymoon. Usually videos drop on Sunday or Monday so we'll see. The update account @delreydotcom is saying this.
  3. Do you guys think Honeymoon will debut with more sales than UV?
  4. Are we still supposedly getting MTWBT this month? Or did the model who claimed that back out on his word?
  5. I'm loving what I've heard so far but I need Lana to deliver a song that sets my tits on fire like Off to the Races and West Coast. I need a new classic.
  6. She sounded so good! I can't wait to hear the full version. Fucking finally the era is starting!
  7. She's serving major blowjob face in that snippet.

  11. I have the CDs for Born To Die, Paradise EP, and Ultraviolence. I also bought the new lyric book that she's been selling on this tour.
  12. So initially I had been planning to start camping out for Lana at 6:45pm during Big Gigantic's set. I had been at the festival for the two days before and I noticed that the crowds dissipated after each act was done, so I thought if I made it early for a relatively unknown act and then stayed behind once everyone left, that I'd have a good chance to be at the front. Well, when I arrived to the island at around 1:30, I went on twitter to see what a couple of Lana fans that I knew were attending were up to, and I saw that they had already started camping out for Lana hours earlier, so I decided to go check the VIP section of the Honda stage and sure enough, there were already like 10 people camping out. So I decided to just sit down and wait from then on. I had been hoping to get a selfie with Lana, but since the others had already taken up the spots in the front row against the gate, I knew I would just have to settle for second row. So I basically waited 8 hours. Everyone around me was pretty nice, but once the show started there was a fight near me after some kid pushed this girl's sister and she punched him back. During the show some other girl had to be taken out because everyone around her was complaining that she was pushing and "terrorizing" everyone. Luckily she wasn't near me. I had a really great view of Lana and I didn't have to deal with people pushing me or being crazy, so I had a pretty good time! My only complaint is that the show felt too short, even though I already knew that her set was only scheduled to be 1 hour and 15 minutes. I definitely want to try and see her again. Now I know that if I want to get a selfie I have to arrive really, really, really early.
  13. Billboard wrote an article about her performance and they were positive. They mentioned that she was saddled by a "muffled sound system" but they were still positive about her performance and vocals. They even titled it saying she made a "captivating return." http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/music-festivals/6590588/lana-del-rey-makes-captivating-return-to-new-york-at?utm_source=twitter
  14. I was in the second row in the VIP section and I could hear her fine throughout the show. There were a couple times where her voice seemed to get drowned out and the recordings on my cell phone don't do justice at all to how I was hearing her, but for the most part I didn't have issues. A friend of mine who wasn't VIP was towards the back and said the sound quality was horrible so she left halfway through to see The Black Keys. It was clear that the problems were from technical difficulties though.
  15. Quote from a new Billboard article about Gov Ball: "Del Rey could roll out a new song or two during her first Governors Ball appearance" It seems to be just speculation on their part, but the fact that they have the same suspicions fans do makes me believe the theory that she'll debut MTWBT on Sunday. 16. I'm here for Lana exploring a jazzy sound. I don't want her to make a full jazz album like Gaga did with Tony Bennett, but I think it'd be cool to have instrumentals and vocals influenced by jazz. What I like about Lana's music is that no matter what genre she's exploring it's always going to be dreamy. It's always going to have a mixture of trash and glamour. With UV she went the psychedelic rock route and she did it well. I think a she could pull off a cool jazz-inspired album.
  17. My stomach dropped straight out of my asshole. I'm going to be at Gov Ball.
  18. Wow you're so lucky! She's so cute to have remembered to take the scrapbook.
  19. I think Lana stands out enough that she'll definitely be remembered in 50 years, at least if she puts out a couple of more albums. As for Marilyn Monroe, she was never taken seriously as an actress, singer, or person until she died. She desperately wanted to be considered a "serious" actress like Audrey Hepburn, but she just didn't have the talent for it and was seen mainly as a celebrity. It was only when she committed suicide that people started revising history. Her death was what made people add depth to her personality; like there must have been something under her pretty face if she could have serious enough thoughts to kill herself. Up until then she was basically seen as an airhead. If it hadn't been for her suicide, sadly most people would still have no respect for her.
  20. His girlfriend, Lana Del Rey, mother of legendary Italian Vogue editor Franca Sozzani.
