Maybe if it's not a real album era but like a Mixtape #2 era then I see it happening. Like just something fun for the stans and the girlies who were with her since the very beginning.
-
I feel like revisiting her Y2K roots would actually be good for her considering that Ayesha is back as a working artist, and she now has a label that can sorta back her a bit. Plus I wont lie, her mixtape era remains as her best body of work for me. Starfucker comes close but mixtape just has this euphoric feeling that is still unbeaten.

So H4U is getting reworked then. Pretty excited for it! I also really like her latest release "Dramatic". One of the more fun hyperpop releases in recent memory.
-
How people feel about her political stance and how they feel about wanting her to release music soon are not mutually exclusive
-
You know what, ThatKid at least has some good flow and was able to make use of Ayesha's beats and production pretty well. I even prefer his version of Taco Bell when comparing it to the leaks. On the other hand, even with a hot Ayesha beat, Yvncc's verses are unsalvageable...

Her hair is literally blonde goals.
-
Based on her twitter, it seems like one of her criteria for including tracks in the deluxe is whether they leaked or not.

Tommy stans lost after the deluxe announcement
-
Make You Mine is so cute! Shame it has that annoying watermark.
-
Great video for an awful song
-
Tommy's cute but she ain't all that. Idk where the hype is coming from. A lot of songs in the standard edition are much better.
-
Same like I'm also wondering what faux-woke fiasco has she gotten herself into this time around?
-
Holy fuck, Ross Lynch. What a man.
-
She's gonna bring her Eras Tour to Iran and North Korea
-
Can someone give a tl;dr version of the Ava drama? I'm so lost like this is so random.
-
Even though the sales for her tour are problematique, at least the ones who attended her concert seemed to have a good time. I've been hearing good things about her set so I guess at least there's that.

I'm shocked at how gloomy the reception is here for the album. I think Tension is one of her absolute best releases in quite some time, and it's very palatable compared to Golden and Disco. I personally skipped Disco but I'm digging this one a lot! Tension is my morning getting ready playlist while Starfucker is my down and dirty end of the day playlist.

Girl Like Me's glittery sound is so reminiscent of E-boy and Tattoo which she did with Ayesha Erotica Ms. Cheeseburger back in her mixtape. It's such a standout! Honestly all the songs sound so good! Never listened to the leaks so I can't compare the mixing between the two but I have no problems with the production value of the album at all. Maybe my only critique is that the album can still add a track or two considering that it's only 35 mins in length. The album itself is amazing but for me, the standout tracks are all tacked in the end of the album. The 1-2 punch of Purr - Plastic - Girl Like Me - Tear Me Open is so sickening!
-
Everyone was downright lying when they said the album's track list is a mess. The track list is perfect! I literally wont change a thing like they all carry the whole album equally. "Tear Me Open" is her best ballad yet and it's my favorite from first listen (with "Girl Like Me" being a close second). Cathy, I implore you to please release signed physical copies on your website. That's literally the only thing stopping me from buying a copy.
-
But why would they do that given that they'll be losing a lot of money in the process? I'm convinced someone in the label is sabotaging her though but I don't get the logic why they'd go such lengths to see her fail.
-
I'm still hoping she releases a signed album copy soon. I'm gonna buy one in a heartbeat if she releases one in her website.
-
Makes me wonder how well Ava's US concert sales went since I see them as of similar levels in popularity. I guess the problem with Kim is that her management booked these large ass venues. I still don't know why they did that like they must have known beforehand how this will go.
-
I haven't listened to the leaks at all and like all the snippets she's been posting so far have been straight fire! I'm kinda baffled why some comments in the thread were trashing the tracklist early on, like based on what I've heard from the snippets, they are all so good and so cohesive. I was bracing myself for a clunky album but the snippets fortunately prove otherwise.
-
For me, if this counts as an album then the theory of Republic wanting to phase her off of her contract sooner seems very plausible. But if it's a mixtape or EP, that's sort of a good thing since they still see her as a good investment because I don't think those count towards her album count in the contract.

So is Problematique her sophomore album or is this a mixtape/EP?
