  1. Ugh, and the thing is I like the message behind the song. Even the part you quoted isn't that bad. It's just that the execution is so cringey. It feels so mopey and emo.
  2. INSTRUCTIONS Poster A will pose a situation. It can be cinematic, humorous, insane, whatever. Poster B will pick the 🌼perfect Lana song🌼 for the situation and (optionally) explain their decision. They will then pose a new situation for the next poster to pick for. EXAMPLE Poster A: Poster B: OK, I'll start! The situation: Your house has been broken into and your dog kidnapped. You put a baseball bat in the passenger seat, roll the windows down, and cruise into the night looking for vengeance. What Lana track is playing?
  3. Can confirm, COCC is my go-to airplane nap album.
  4. For real, they put more effort into the site than they did for some of the shirts
  5. What if someone had asked Picasso not to be sad? Never known who he was or the man he'd become There would be no blue period Lana please
  6. Her Golden Age CD is still available for the low low price of $1000 CAD! https://homieshitmag.bandcamp.com/album/hsr-003-ethel-cain-golden-age For real though, no one knows why. She's talked about vinyl releases before but there's never been a reason given why they're not out, or what the progress is.
  7. My #1 song of all time is West Coast (radio mix). The vibes are fucking immaculate. On some days I'll listen to it for several hours straight during a commute or at the gym.
  8. Hayden's been dropping lots of references to B-Sides lately. So exciting! I'm so curious to see how they've evolved since the demos.
  9. I'm convinced this is a nothingburger because if UFOs and ETIs were real, Trump would've spilled the beans by now.
  10. Haha, I discovered Preacher's Daughter right around the time of a really bad breakup, so House in Nebraska hit me hard. I do think that the more I explore her discography, the more I gravitate towards some of her older stuff and demos due to their darker tone. God's Country is indeed frickin' awesome. Have you heard the two demos? They're both amazing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzsYtx2Wpa8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KLltCqQpis Can't wait for her to release the PD B-sides. Hopefully they're out soon!
  11. This makes a lot more sense. I'm not really in tune with Lana's personal life or stuff outside of her music so I didn't catch on to the additional context.
  12. History proved her ahead of her time but sadly she never got the validation for it. A lot of people owe her an apology that she'll never get. RIP, she was such a real one!
  13. OK so I'm genuinely curious about the overlap between Lana and Marina fans. I tried her stuff out years ago (like ~2015) and wasn't into it, even though everyone kept saying how "similar" they were. Is this an actual thing or is it just testament to Lana's unique sound when the stylistically closest artists are still so different?
  14. Stevie Nicks is an absolute legend but I hope she never does another collab with Lana. Lana has such a unique voice and style but it just does not jive with Stevie's at all.
  15. I think a lot of people feel this way actually, it's a whole different style and that's why her work can be so divisive. I absolutely adore everything Hayden makes, but almost everyone I share her with just likes American Teenager and Crush--which to be fair, are also the songs that got me into her as well. A lot of her slower work draw some comparisons to how some people feel about Lana's piano ballads lol. It's a love it or hate it thing, but I really dig the nuance that comes out of repeated listens. For me, with both LDR and EC, my first run through of their discogs always focus on the poppier, catchier songs, but long term listens gravitate towards the slower, "more boring" songs. You definitely have to be in a particular kind of mood to go through Preacher's Daughter with full attentiveness though.
