Um, why should I "cool it"? All i did was suggest she did a covers album.. talk about overreacting.

I want the return of the puppy backpack this era

We're just excited and throwing around ideas of what the next era could be like...not actually demanding. I even said that it was just my personal preference. Discussing Lana-related topics like this is kind of the point of a Lana message board.

Could you imagine?! The beginning and middle of the album are more lighthearted and highlight the new love she's found & the honeymoon stage of the relationship, but towards the end of the album she loses him and reminisces about their honeymoon or something.. "Even my best days without you were nothing in comparison to my worst days once I had found you."

The title Honeymoon makes me think of the song Honeymoon Avenue by Ariana Grande
that's my song  I would love that

I want an album closer for Honeymoon along the lines of My Best Days.. it seems really fitting in my mind. Like, I'm definitely here for some happier Lana songs, but the longing & reminiscent vibe of My Best Days would be such a great way to close an album with the title Honeymoon in my opinion..

Also some of y'all are so rude ew.

I want the beehive back in full swing, Its Iconic for Lana to be honest.

I want her to have that glamour that she had during BTD, I mean I've enjoyed her more casual looks as well, but glamorous Lana or always the best for me.

Yeah, it's not my main concern either, but it's clearly important to Lana and how she artistically packages each album.

I would love a comeback of old Hollywpod glamour, but like the Galore shoot and with a new hairstyle. She's done the beehive to death. Bring back the curls.

Anyway, back to music. Listening to my favorite Moody Blues album, Days of Future Passed. I'd love an upbeat, concept album incorporating orchestration and rock like that.

I just want a whole album/concert of re-worked unreleased songs please lana

To me "Honeymoon" sounds very... Florida Kilos-ish. I guess we'll see.

^Totally agree ! I mean i have nothing against BTD or UV but .. Yeah basically what you said with Paradise ^^

Do you guys really think there'll be a title track? Honeymoon to me just sounds like a setting for the mood of the album. Then again I thought the same thing when Lana announced UV

I like the title tracks from BTD and UV but to me having a title track in each album just seems a bit boring. It just takes away the mystique of the title, at first you wonder why the record is called Honeymoon, is there some kind of running story regarding a relationship? Maybe the whole album will be Lana envisioning the marriage she and Barrie never had? But if there's just a song on the record called Honeymoon, then you almost feel like that's the only reason behind the record's title. It's like with Paradise, since there's no song on the record called paradise, the title feels more like a summary of the album in general (and that record is simply sublime so it's a fitting name)

I'm still not half sure what I'm saying but that's always how I've felt about title tracks, in case anyone cares.

I don't like the title at all but is catchy just like BTD and UV are. Lana never fails titles wise, song titles included

I said three words. Also, looking at your response to trinity along with this one, I think you'll find that its you who needs to "calm down and breathe".

*Goes back and rereads my original post that prompted this response, only to be left unsure as to why the girls are giving soo much to a simple question. Hmmph.*

Thank you for your response. I get why you would like Lana to revisit her interpretation of hip hop.

I won't even take a stab at what I'm thinking visually because I get weird connotations from Honeymoon and a lot of that is dependent on the music. Lyrically, I hope she gets her choruses worked out and better than the ones on UV. I'd love if she made some songs that aren't about relationships but an album title of Honeymoon doesn't sound promising and I should know better after listening to her for so long.  Maybe we will get something like National Anthem where she is talking about a relationship but also kind of alludes to a bigger picture (i.e. I feel like in NA she was talking about some of the dark sides of fame/money with the drugs/dying lines, etc.).

I wouldn't hold out for it to be Ultraviolence: Honeymoon either. She clearly seems to have moved on from UV and if the music isn't even going to sound the same it wouldn't fit anyways. I think this album is going to pick up where Paradise left off, leaving UV as singular in her discography in terms of style/production. Or if she does try and link it to Ultraviolence I hope it is something like National Anthem meets Flipside in terms of the strings + guitars.

Clearly, you take things that should not be taken so seriously very seriously. You should calm down and breathe, sis. This was not an issue of common sense. I simply asked a question, which typically occurs during a discussion.

I'd love something similar to this in style (obviously not the actual songs):

    1. Shades of Cool (jazzy rock intro)
    2. Million Dollar Man
    3. Hawaiian Tropic
    4. Back to Black-esque song
    5. Kill Kill
    6. Traditional jazz track
    7. Yayo
    8. Come When You Call Me America
    9.  Jazz fusion track
    10. Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood

Yeah I can see what you mean about it being a one time event and that's fine because it makes it a special song, although it would be great if she started performing it. But if she could do an uptempo song with hip hop beats for the next album that would be great.
That doesn't bother me tbh, but each to their own. I prefer the overproduction on some of the BTD songs, for me its properly produced rather than left similar to a demo, not to shade UV because I really like the album but I prefer BTD a lot more because of the production of her vocals.
    THIS!!!!
I need another Video Games, I feel like Young & Beautiful and Old Money fit the same mood as Video Games so I'm hoping for another song like them. I could do without a Cruel World song though..

Give me more songs in the style of

    Video Games
    Blue Jeans
    Off To The Races
    Born To Die
    National Anthem
    American
    Radio
    Million Dollar Man
    Old Money
And I'd love another one like Diet Mountain Dew.

She put a short trailer up for it onto youtube, in a similar style to her older music videos (video games, pre-born to die music videos, etc) but the video released was very different.

She had an original music video idea for West Coast?
  23. delreyfreak liked a post in a topic by InTheSummer in Honeymoon - Pre-Release and Discussion Thread
I think I agree to some extent, too. I don't want to say goodbye to the Ultraviolence era yet though. Still, I can definitely see her packaging the album has a "Ultraviolence: the Honeymoon edition" type of deluxe box set with art prints and vinyls and whatnot, it would give her a way to finally release her original music video idea for West Coast, and the unreleased one for Pretty When You Cry too, as a disc exclusive with "The Videos" like what she did for Born To Die's Paradise edition box set. She seems completely done with promoting this era, this tour just kind of feels like it's that typical thing singers do every so often, it doesnt FEEL like she's continuing the Ultraviolence era? maybe thats just me. It's weird. On an unrelated note, do any of you think she'll release a music video for Big Eyes? I would have thought she had, and if not now, the window of opportunity is closing and i'd say the latest she would post one is in the next 2 weeks, honestly.

Yeah, unless Honeymoon was a continuation of music produced by Dan Auerbach, I don't think it would work as a continuation. I'm all for a clean slate too.
