I was actually praying that the album was called like that

Just a week or two ago I started re-visiting AKA and I can say it is her best album so far, imo. So much diversity on that album, none of her albums have offered us.It's a shame she is not re-relasing it or recreating these songs live, especially since she complains about playing the same songs over and over. She should be the last popstar to complain about lack of material. And just these days, here we go, she seems to show interest in her past look and all. So I hope that she slightly goes back to that direction in terms of style, songwriting and sound. Uptempo songs like Raise Me Up or Jump or Queen Of The Gas Station are perfect and suit her so well. 
 
I bet she will finish writing for this album before the tour starts and at this point, I highly doubt she will tour outside of North America. In the rest of the world she had a sales decline between 70-85 % anyway, so finishing this album and make a short tour seems to be the right thing to do.

I still miss the album that could have been, the ones the five untouchables would have fit on. I was so excited about it when she described it as "spiritual and stripped back" ugh. Those songs are so good, I hope there's that lyric style on the next one and the lovely choruses.

I remember her saying there wasn't really a theme with UV. She just went with a "vibe," and I think that really shows through. It's cohesive sonically, but thematically it's not as strong as BtD or Paradise.

I actually think Driving in Cars with Boys is a good idea for what this will be like lyrically...finding love in the darkness. I think it will be a relatively "happy" album by Lana standards, but still bittersweet.

I've always wanted her to go back to the Driving Cars With Boys/You Can Be The Boss/ Kinda Outta Luck sound again.

I feel like UV would have been so much more complete if JFK, Angels Forever, Hollywood and Starry Eyed had been on the album. It still, to me, though, is a beautiful album.

I was listening "Blank Space" the other day by Tayloose and realized how much it sounds like pre BTD Lana's uptempo.

all i know is that there *needs* to be some upbeat songs on the next album. we know that lana does them exceptionally well & in a style that's all her own. sometimes i listen to her unreleased songs & mourn for the hits that could have been.

A confirmation by Ronson would be helpful. I remember when she told the world after BTD that she would never make another
album. Not long after that we got the great Paradise EP. Is it the opposite now?. I hope my worries are proven wrong and that I can take off my tin foil hat.

Jazzy rock with a bittersweet, surrealist theme. Or maybe something like Dusty Springfield meets Nina Simone.
 
I'm so excited...looking forward to more upbeat material that still remains true to herself. An album about finding love in the darkness. 
 

I like the concept, but idk how she'll incorporate the grunge, orchestra, or jazz into MTWBT. If she does it'll be the death of me

Okay so i really want Lana to incorporate more uptempos to her albums. Since she's working with Mark, I want Do Wop songs like Back To Tha Basics, Paris, TV in Black And White, Every Man Gets His Wish, Queen Of Disaster.
 
These songs are amazing. They are not generic but they aren't too alternative (inaccessible to the general public like UV) either. They are a perfect mix.
