At the state level there has been recently very active campaigns for banning books in schools and public libraries that contain anything “sexual”.
 
this may seem well-meaning to outsiders, but the reality is they are using that language to target books that teach about the body/developing bodies, anything queer, and really anything who’s message they can twist to fit their narrative.

somewhat related, but it's funny (not really) how the right criticized harris for having cardi b speak at one of her rallies, as if they didn't have amber rose and kid rock speak at trump's RNC... like... be serious, what's the fucking difference?

I know this is a joke, but they really do need to move away from all the celebrity appearances. No offense but what is the point of bringing out Katy Perry in 2024. 

We really do live in the worst possible timeline. 

I'm not necessarily the most knowledgeable on US Politics, but I do know that whatever happens in the US tends to ripple around the world and the results so far are abhorrent.
