Only a matter of time indeed I love everything I've heard from her and OctaHate is one of the better jams of the year

West Coast "Though, honest and independent, you learned a thing or two about love. You accept people for who they are, but you’re also diligent and focused on personal growth. You’re inspired by music and movies, though you remain realistic most of the time. You appreciate passionate people, just make sure they treat you right and don’t use you for their own purposes. It’s hard for you to let people in, but once you do you’re an extremely faithful friend!" I guess so. Esp personal growth part *nail emoji*

Lana's Sassy Replies (Appreciation Thread)
Sitar replied to lflflflflflflflflflf's topic in Lana Thoughts
The syntax of her reply is giving me real English second language teas so I think so -
I see I'm already bringing in that controversy I don't suppose you got any of these songs in good quality? Also why do I love all these features more than her solo songs https://soundcloud.com/thankftse/ftse-hole-whyd-wurld-ft-femme https://soundcloud.com/toyboyrobin/toyboy-robin-beneath-the-cold https://soundcloud.com/thankftse/ftse-lost-in-translation-ft https://soundcloud.com/thankftse/ftse-nite-life-ft-femme

From their website, "The New Inquiry is a space for discussion that aspires to enrich cultural and public life by putting all available resources—both digital and material—toward the promotion and exploration of ideas." They dedicated a whole, 24-page issue to Lana, and it's actually very interesting! Different essays discuss the appropriateness of Lana's inclusion on the Maleficent soundtrack, her glamorization of Americana as a lie, femininity, whiteness, and especially Ultraviolence. On the whole, it's pretty positive, though--my favorite is "The Fake as More," which focuses on her image. It's free! Source: http://thenewinquiry.com/features/ms-america/

I realized I can't take 2+ consecutive songs of her voice...I can maybe deal with one but then I have to go heal myself I guess. I tried that collection and just had to stop

I love "Little White Lies"...What's it for? Another EP?
-
"I'm gonna post this joke again, that'll really stick it to her!" Have some shame evil

Choke! You hittin me up for feedback and I'm giving it! Seriously, put Kill Kill between WC and Ride, it sets the narrative for her traveling! Do you know I am going to leave you? Not to mention the sound blends flawlessly. That is the sonic section of the playlist for KK okay. I might keep this playlist bc it was really good but maybe it's just my personal dislike towards Starry Eyed that makes it sound out of place...esp after Flipside. Would replace with TVIB&W for my own records. Then that gives you this fantastic section of huge vocal songs that's totally uninterrupted by a lowkey moment, from Dark Paradise to TOW.

Salon: "Lana Is The Perfect Artist For An America In Decline"
Sitar replied to Macintosh Manhattan's topic in Latest News
I mean, these articles have their validity, but it should be noted that this all seems unintentional. While Lana's just doing her, people are finding thinkpieces and deeper meaning in everything she does. I guess that's cool for her, but I don't think she knows she's doing anything but telling her life story. -
Oh yeah Or So Far Away...like there was a lot of half-rapping on TR bitch...

That article calls Patrik Berger "Lana Del Rey producer"? News to me So she's using some songs from the original concept. I'm gonna make a directory of potential titles here and you guys can help me with the key: Allergic to Love Body of My Own Boom Clap Break the Rules Breaking Up Do It Like We're Doing It Gold Coins Hangin' Around I Want Candy I'm Not Sorry Light it Up (unconfirmed title) London Queen Mess Mow the Lawn Not in Love Premarital Sex SuperLove Key: - Definite - Unlikely All the remaining tracks other than "I'm Not Sorry" were done with Patrik Berger and are likely very punk. Just threw in Mess bc it's a Patrik song and she used old songs with him before (SuperLove, Boom Clap). But "Body of My Own" sounds like it fits in with the concept!

@@Rafael keep MDM -> AFFA, I like referring to it as a "tribute". But I kinda think OOW should be earlier idk Welp we're all wrong sometimes
-
I'm gonna listen to it bc it looks pretty good but maybe you can explain the reasoning on your Kill Kill placement...It's surrounded by such bombastic songs. I feel like it should go by West Coast or The Other Woman somehow. Also I already know Blue Jeans with the string intro will be great so i replaced it and you should too
