    April 18 - San Francisco

    Get that 100% confirmed fact
  2. When she released Paradise, she described the sound of the then-untitled next record here: http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/megan-and-menace-mornings/episode/17789630?refid=twsn Calling it stripped back, cinematic, west coast-inspired, as well as referencing an idea of beginning and ending with a cappellas. That seems to have remained her vision.
  3. np I think the JG instrumental is fake but I haven't deleted it just in case And LYE snippet is only labeled a snippet so I can put the superior extended mix in my actual album
  4. I have a feeling most of the songs are going to be two words...not that it's that important, just an observation. The way Paradise was full of one-word songs. West Coast Cruel World Living Legend? Black Beauty Kill Kill Trans Am And she'd shorten AFFA to "Angels Forever"
  5. I think with the title Ultraviolence and some of Lana's more recent descriptions, we'd all written off what she originally said and expected something way off (and even psychedelic??). However, West Coast seems to prove that she's staying true to her "stripped" vision, meaning not only that Black Beauty and AFFA could fit in very well, but that IT COULD STILL BEGIN AND END WITH STACKED A CAPPELLAS which is the most genius idea she's had in a while.
  6. that's what our ultra attentive and competent staff is for
  7. It's available Notable: - Seemed hesitant about B-sides part 2 until she saw that there were sooo many questions about it and then she said "I'll get it out somehow" - She did a song with DIIV that will apparently never be released hmm - I asked about Pretty Dull bc this is my mission and she said that she does want to release it and it has some of her favorite lyrics that she's written - If she were to sing an As If song live it would be 99 Tears that's kinda cute OMG it was on this system where viewers voted up questions and like top of the queue was a question about old material like Cobra with the most votes and then right before she got to it IT DISAPPEARED Seems like full speed ahead with B-sides part 2 hopefully

OMG what if it's only ever a vinyl rip... I was able to order some RSD titles from a pretty big record store online last year, is there any place that would list them in the UK? SYBT is a UK exclusive and I really want it smh
  9. BTD truly ain't shit anymore West Coast>>>
  10. Lana told fans tonight in San Francisco that her favorite song on Ultraviolence is called "Cruel World" (source needed). It is probably related to this snippet that she's been singing as an intro to "Cola" on tour: http://instagram.com/p/m8-dV4SEnZ/

That's by "Slow Hand Motem" who is impossible to find

For those who care about old MØ music, the producer of Doomsday sent me this:
  13. I get that, but look at this way: this forum is about to become entirely Ultraviolence. The purpose of just one thread for it is now gone because it will be the main focus of our activity. I mean I think we should be a news forum, too, not just a discussion forum.
  14. Someone go into her google chat and see if she answers my Pretty Dull q bc I have to leave smh

    FKA twigs

I wonder if she'd put old songs on the album...She doesn't really seem the type. I remember she said she didn't give either EP a real name because it felt too presumptuous for an incomplete sort of work so I can imagine her wanting a complete cohesive album if its own songs.
  16. Based on the actual comment in the article, I feel pretty confident in saying that she's likely using domestic abuse as a metaphor for aggressively passionate love and not actually advocating it as a kink of hers or anything. That said, it's still a problematic metaphor to use, but I don't think it's any more that that. And I will never win the fight in trying to get you guys to post news in new news threads, will I? Articles count as separate news from now on~

  19. http://lanamusic.tumblr.com/post/82904512007/one-the-bbc-radio-1-show-with-matt-edmondson-he The UV era has begun and we will now have actual threads for this kinda shit what u think
  20. This is a very good sign. Interested in that balance of reportedly crazy dark with sexy. My fave combo and Lana does it masterfully (Put Your Lips Together, Get Drunk).
  21. I really never thought she'd go this full on "indie rock" on this album, I was expecting dark beats and maybe something psychedelic like Catch and Release. However, I'm soooo pleased. Kill Kill would fit perfectly next to this. Dreams of West Coast fading into a Kill Kill intro with very faint "I'm in love with a dying man"s under wave sounds Interesting how Lana made my music taste a little more pop oriented in the past two years yet here she is going back to something I would have guiltlessly enjoyed at my most obnoxious in high school.

    Charli XCX

Well Baauer for sure due to a studio pic and Madeon's been implied on twitter. I assume she's doing the whole "dance vocalist" thing for their own projects though
