  1. Lmao one of the first songs a lot of fans were introduced to and it took Pin Up Galore and Gogo Dancer to get the stripper rumors starting.
  2. I hear "silver pole" now.
  3. Hi, I merged this with your other thread, I think it'll get more attention if you do it all in one thing

I know, they'd both probably appear in my top 10 if I were to order a list of favorite Charli songs, with Valentine somewhere close to the top. Who knows what she intended them for...But I'd enjoy that.

I'm looking at the album in the grand scheme and not just this moment. I like to think that a few years down the line, the fact that very little of the material was new won't make any difference. It's just a reall strong album, speaking from someone who was very familiar with all the song on the album that she'd already put out. I think it's her baby because it's her perfect debut. For her, it probably never was a collection of her better tracks from prior releases. I can respect that. There's really great parts about the album even as someone who has been a fan for a while. Like you said, the sequencing and selection is great and the atmospheric touches really do the trick for me.

Early love of the live version, I guess. However, Nuclear Seasons with the new badass intro is quickly becoming one of my most played Charli songs. I don't like the verses in combination with the chorus. The chorus especially is too filler for me. It's a cool outtro, though, but really always been one of my least favorites.

Take My Hand lyrics: The "your lips" line sounds like what I wrote but I want to believe it's something else because it makes no sense so halp. Black Roses lyrics - Let us pray there's a lyric booklet.
  18. Do NOT trust your judgment if you'd ever get rid of I will have a clean up soon, probably this weekend. 99% of the Girls will remain.
  19. I love any sort of competition show. ANY. I even watched one about floral arrangements. It was actually very good, delivered the lines, "[some bitch] looks like she was hit in the face with a bag of sausage" and "I'm sweating like a fat bitch in a van." Shame it wasn't picked up for a second season The Bad Girls Club >>> most things My life would have less joy without RuPaul's Drag Race. Cooking shows ALL DAY. I'm not hot on ones where people just kinda hang out. Which seems like Housewives to me. I oughta give it a try someday. Love me some trash.

Some thoughts: - I think Grins or Take My Hand are my favorite. I'm really caught up on the newness of TMH so that might fade to make it second place but I don't know, it has potential to be my overall favorite. - Definite demo-itis with "How Can I" and "Set Me Free", unfortunately. SMF in particular sounds sort of empty without all the beats from the demo. - Lock You Up survived the wrath of demo-itis because it's such a good song, but I find I'm more partial to her vocal delivery in live performances. - The atmospheric bits in Nuclear Seasons and Take My Hand that sort of foreshadow other songs on the album are really great. - Black Roses isn't the coolest thing ever like I was hyping it up to be prior to hearing it but it's growing on me. Overall, pretty happy and more excited than I thought I would be with the shortage of new songs. Made an order of preference just for fun.
  23. It was more of a Nowels production thing but I will continue to because they are both melodramatic and awf. Just what is wrong with the lyrics
