i can sort of imagine some of the songs sounding somewhat like this: although lana's voice isn't quite as grating (or ~unlistenable) -

tropico doesn't work as a presale code... has anyone else had any luck with it? [EDIT] -- apparently the code only works for SF

i've been to bill graham before and its probably one of the biggest / most well known venues in san francisco (which is actually like a tiny metropolitan city, only spanning 7x7 miles) so for her to be playing there suggests that they're already expecting her to sell well i think

it kinda died by the 3rd week

what is a 'rehearsal' show? the one in SF starts at 8pm so if anything, she's performing there after the coachella set they have headlining acts spread out throughout the entire day (i.e last time i was there, i saw the killers around 3-4pm), so i'm thinking she's performing in the afternoon (in indio) then flying out to SF and playing in the evening there (which is even better, in my opinion)

anyone going to the san francisco show?

COLACNT replied to lflflflflflflflflflf's topic in Lana Thoughts
i'm gonna change everything to option one because i don't want any overlap in my library but i'll change everything back if we come across some kind receipt for sirens' actual existence -

i didn't even notice that it was from a year ago lmao they probably just bumped into each other at the studio, while they were both "workin" (on their own respective albums). people in that industry always try to provoke some kind of speculation, which hopefully explains the caption i don't imagine that lana was dying to work with him from the very onset of the album's inception -

OH MY GOD those are all exquisite; i love the stuff from valerie and her week of wonders. i've seen bits and pieces of the film, its beautiful i need to watch the whole thing. adding those all to my playlist now, if you have more suggestions please post them! i have a d lmao but yea i can just post all of the stuff in my playlist here, i honestly don't have a 'collection' really, just a few pieces i've liked over the years but i've just been listening to them more lately and interested in finding more too this is probably the most beautiful score i've heard from any film: carrie comes close second: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76islrQOcLw&list=PLLKbqQI5iHgO6GQS_JhiIDBMtk4xg1oGP&index=19 and a few more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40Sp3SSWqQw&list=PLLKbqQI5iHgO6GQS_JhiIDBMtk4xg1oGP&index=7 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfQtdX3Ryz4&list=PLLKbqQI5iHgO6GQS_JhiIDBMtk4xg1oGP&index=13 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Liix3BxSvts the soundtracks for "dressed to kill" and "sympathy for lady vengeance" are also particularly beautiful, they're up on youtube in full

i've always had a minor thing for horror movie scores, but lately i've been really into sweeping / dramatic orchestral stuff in general (i.e the ride / tropico / gatsby stuff) but i'm kind of running low on songs / composers to listen to and need recommendations! it really helps me study too this is the kind of stuff i like (in order of beauty): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBh2GkJiRgE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1tUpx7qmjQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7NFDPbTDSA&list=PLLKbqQI5iHgO6GQS_JhiIDBMtk4xg1oGP&index=6 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jjLMm7C2EY&list=PLLKbqQI5iHgO6GQS_JhiIDBMtk4xg1oGP&index=4 any good suggestions? any orchestral / classical stuff is fine with me i'm open to all types, the stuff above is just to give a general idea of what i tend to listen to
